Today, a friend send a MSN message to me, ask about how to translate Chinese to English.

Without any delay, my "reflex" comes! Fire up my web browse, key in translate.google.com into the address bar! I am expecting a 404 error or Page Not Found response but... ...

Viola! It loads the Google Translate BETA! I am so happy that Google always knows what I needs and prepare it before I scream for it! It is really my best friend! Never fail me!! LoL.

Immediately, I test it with a simple sentence. Wow! See?! It is so accurate and it never lie! It translate the Chinese sentence to English sentence correctly! The translation never mess up the meaning of the sentence. Good job, Google! After that, I try with other sentences. As a result, for short and simple sentence, it can translate nicely. For longer or complex sentence, it can't really perform as good as expected. But it is good enough to do simple translation job! It is online! No need to install anything!! The most important is FREE of charge!!! Can you complaint?

It supports 25 types of translations! You can help Google Translate to improve the future release by "Suggest a better translation"! You can be part of the team too! :-) Sounds great?

Last but not least, you can translate a web page with this tool!

Let's not start this post with the story of "who don't have a god damn fucking financial crisis a.k.a. GDFFC" . That is totally P.O.S. (piece of shit) to say because we are known as the species of people in the category of "always money not enough".

I believe that I am quite well-known among my friends (real-life or Internet) for being a hardcore consumers! I am very serious when it comes to money spending. For every cent I paid, I must get the equivalent service or product. I never worry about how troublesome to get what I deserved!

Yes. Today's topic is very interesting and you are definitely going to be the one of the beneficiary!

Let's introduce the main actor, Kok mING and TM Net Streamyx a.k.a. Strea-My-X (stream my ass) or SlowyAss (who the hell invented this?). Yeah, today I invited another strong cast for your enjoyment. Let's welcome David for his contributions later in this post!

Please allow me to clarify why I must claim my rebates from TM Net StreamyX. Can you believe that for 1.5 years subscription, I got 274 days downtime as TM Net StreamyX recorded it officially in their system? A flashback if you want to read!

First option to claim your rebates is via telephone calls. You must have all your report numbers with you! If you do not remember it, please spend 30 minutes with them by dailing 100 from your TM Fixed Line Phone. You can get all the report numbers  belongs to your account from the Technical Department. Remember, it is Technical Department, don't go to the Billing Department because they won't tell you although they can see it on-screen. Instead of telling you the report numbers, they ask you to call the Technical Department. So, to save your time, ensure you get the right thing from the right place!

After a lengthy session with the sexiest call center in Malaysia, I finally connected to the Billing Department. I explain my lengthy piece of old story again because they always love to listen to my voice... What to do?! That's the charm of Kok mING. LoL. Ok... actually they are just being a douchebag! They are buying themselves some times for listening your story again. So they can generate more profits to the TM Telephony service. At the mean while, they can think a reason to kick you away too! What a nice "One stone kills Two birds" tactic!

Anyway, I am the master of the Art-Of-War tactics. My philosophy is "No win No leave", so as my urge to claim the rebate to secure a "win", I manage to get them to open a report stated that I want to get the rebates for all the cases above! So, I got THE_ONE rebate report with the number 5971665, and I have to call back to them after 2-3 weeks because they have to "investigate". Well, I don't mind to call as long as I got the report now! Most often, they won't open any report for you but to suggest you to write an email to the custcare@tm.net.my regarding your rebate issue. Never fall into this trick! They never check this custcare@tm.net.my mailbox! Save your bandwidth for more hate-mails, ok?

That's the first option. Slow and NOT_SO_EFFECTIVE_&_EFFICIENT method... Never do this until you can't afford to apply the following (2nd) option!

Second option is go to the TM Point! The place where you pay your bills! Go there, grab a free number ticket from the "canggih" machine, sit down, wait for your turn(perhaps 1-2 hours doing nothing). During your waiting period, pray for no system_down message on top of their desk!

Once you manage to sit in front of one representative of TM Point. You tell them about your case(s) and express you need a rebates else you will burn down the whole TM Point with your little fire_stick! If they are cooperative enough, they will open a report for you instantly. You can go home after they give you a slip that indicates they lodged a report. Not to surprise, at the same day, they will send an email notification for your report too.

Within 2 weeks, David manage to get the rebate confirmation! How fast!! I recommend this way if you have the time to travel to your nearest TM Point. Refer to the screen-shots below! Credits to David

    

 

The third option, this could be your last resort. If you unable to get any response. You can write in / complaint to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) . Sometimes ago, I heard someone reported his cases with TM Net to this government commission. He got the rebates at the next day! I tried to follow the procedures on MCMC web site but I did not manage to get any response from MCMC or TM Net SteamyX, perhaps my bad English or I am a chinese who supposed to be so rich and never need a rebate!

Hey folks! Nice to have you/me back here! I am busy for these few days... busy to kick-off something.

First... I would like to tell you that about the New Microsoft Expression Web (a tool which replace M$ FrontPage) . It is not bad! Totally not bad but compare to Dreamweaver... it is still a very competative edge between them. I will leave it for you to study that :)

Hell lot of things that I am working on... editting photo, making flash, develop website, checking paypal and bank card... a lot... Haha. But I have got no pay for it... No worry... nothing pays you at the starting point! If you found something that pays on the first day of doing it, please, please, please, tell me A.S.A.P. ? Nasi lemak on me, ok?!

Recently I receive quite a lot of compliments on my photo shooting skills too! Yeah! When you are jobless, you will be good in everything besides JOB HUNTING! So... in order to improve your photo shooting skill, you must be jobless first! That's THE_ONE pre-requisite! I'm not kidding!! Because all PROs is not having a permanent job! :-P

Ehhhh now... I don't know whether or not to tell you something about the website that I am doing... It will possibly spoil my handsome image! haha. Yes! H.A.N.D.S.O.M.E. heh heh.  "That" website will be promoting some kind of medicines or herbs or tools to help you to improve your sexual intercourse experiences. Oh! Oh! Did I spoil my "Mr. Handsome Good Man" reputation?! If yes... please don't be prejudice against me. I am not a Holy Man but a normal mankind which requires food to survive too... Started from 2 to 3 years ago, YTL community keep sending junk to me... opps not junk but their corporate news or advertisement or what-so-ever you want to call that. More-ever it did not give you any link to cancel the so-call "subscription" to this... I believe they have my email address because I submitted my resume for a job application under their organization some years ago... but it is unforgivable for doing this to the innocent ME!

Now, can I sue YTL for some millions of Ringgit Malaysia for "mentally harrassing" me for past 2 to 3 years? ...Ok. I think my CEO will support me to fund a lawyer for this legal matter. But please put this aside because some millions of Ringgit Malaysia means nothing to me. Let it be!

Sorry for bragging something nonsense above. I couldn't control myself at the early morning with the scent of Chinese New Year!

YTL is now offering WiSpot Wireless Broadband Internet Connection @ StarHill for YTL Platinum Plus member! ... but then... if you are going to StarHill... you aren't shopping but surfing? For god sake... why they are so stupid to use this WiSpot Wireless Broadband Internet Connection to promote the Platinum Plus Membership. I am confused. Their marketting department must be fainted by the Chinese New Year mood already? Furthermore, 1 hour WiSpot Wireless Broadband Internet Connection FREE Trial for the Platinum Plus Membership (stated in the email). It means subsequent hours will charge accordingly? ... hahah perhaps WiSpot Wireless Broadband Internet Connection is one of the YTL subsidiary?

Next issue, the email "invite" me to upgrade my membership! WOW! How on earth they manage to know I am soon to be rich enough to be a Platinum Plus member while I am having no membership but junk email subscription? haha. This is simply funny because I dont have the online account login name and password for the membership upgrade process. So I could not share it with you here.

I noticed this like 2 months ago... before my connection went down for 11 days.

It was an upgrade from 1mbps/384kbps (download/upload) to 2mbps/512kbps (download/upload)

 

A week ago, before I receive the trusted source of  news on TM Net implemented traffic shaping on BitTorrent. I noticed another upgrade which make my connection speed has greater upload. That is 2mbps/896kbps (download/upload) . It is really able to get at least 70% connection speed of that but... without the ability to BT... it is just too much because all my download sources are using BT to share the files :'(  

 

Anyway, do not really want to praise TM Net or Streamyx but they did give me something better or show some improvement on this. Let's give them a credit or two for this time... Let's hope another upgrade soon or no more traffic shaping.

Woo hoo! Finally the streamyx connection is back! After 374328721387543897432 calls to the technician in-charge. He finally decided to settle my problem first ahaha.

The root-cause is the port burned due to lightning, high oossibilities. It is either lightning, too hot or cheap hardware...

The technician just replace/reset the fault card, reset my port and viola! Its solve! Damn it! This simple procedure still can take up to 11 days to do it!!!

Whatever, so you know how to chase them to attend to your problem. It is obviously not the problem is very hard to solve. It is just no man in-charge of it ...

Ok :) I am off now!

You will probably see me 2 days later only. I am going to attend 2 wedding dinners! :( Wallet blood coming out endlessly for these 2 months :'(

Today, the 10th day without my Streamyx connection @ home.

I know you miss me... I know you cannot live without me... I know the cyberspace without me is so colourless... but what I can do? :( I am so sorry because you still have to wait me longer...

Wuahahahahahahah the above is the opening only... just to lead you into a non-sense mode to download the voice clip below! :P

Started from 10 days ago,  each day, I spend 1 hour to talk with the Streamyx customer service team. From 1st level front desk support to high level Operation Manager... The battle is still on-going between us.

A lot of people do not know how to get > attention < for their issues or they simply give up to at least try their best to fight for the their very own consumer rights. You gotta know... Living in this materialistic world, we MUST demand what we deserve! The more you tolenrate, the bigger time you lose up!

I am not an very good speaker but I think I am up to the certain standard to grab those douchebags' attention to resolve my problem. I manage to get the mp3 recorder from David and record some significant voice clip for educational purposes!

Download and listen if you want to know how I fight against those douchebags! Listen at your own risk... I do not responsible for any mental or physo problem of yours after listening to my Mal-Lish!!!

After the 3 calls! YES, finally a technician name Indran contact me and inform me that my connection is fixed. Unfortunately, I am not at home now... So I cannot test it. Anyway, I am happy that my voice did went through and their response fast enough today! :) I am happy to speak with the 3 people above haha.

1300889515... is the number that all Malaysian Internet surfers might not forget for the rest of their life...

It is not a number for emergency. This number cannot help you in anything but to let you have a proper channel to release your anger. This is the TM Net CustCare hotline number. You will never find another great ISP as this. They are really make Malaysian feeling "Proud to be a Malaysian" and "Malaysia Boleh!".

TM Net "boleh" in:

1. Widest coverage for Internet in Malaysia. Without it, Malaysian cannot communicated with the world! As a result, it created the largest whine community against its service quality! Can you imagine that the service can be suddenly disconnected and only resume few days later? especially during weekends... and they still dare to BILL you on time!

2. The first service provider that can ever offer their services on BEST EFFORT BASIS... How on earth that this kind of quality measurement / objective can be announced to the public... Did the industry has its standard to grant the license to the qualified candidates only? Why this BEST EFFORT BASIS can be implemented... All I wanted to say... Can I pay your TM NET bills on my BEST EFFORT BASIS too. I really wish it can be happened. Let's strike in front of the TM Net head quarter.

3. The best IVR that I had ever encounter... They will be very honest to tell you that they are facing problem and all your service interruption is because of that, so they are sooooo sorry and apologise with those IVR recorded voice. You will need to wait at least 3 minutes(because of stupid recorded sound and their songs!!) if you really wish to listen to a REAL customer servicer officer reply, you better prepare you very best whine speech or complaint essay. You must Fuck them! FUCK those DOUCHEBAGS HARD. You deserve the rights to shout. You pay them every month, you did not hire them but you pay for the service! When you get no service means they are not giving you what you deserve! Go shout! GO Malaysian, GO!

4. TM Net is the highest speed broadband provider in Malaysia... yeah! Sounds cool... not! You will always get at max 70% of the advertised speed. Haha, if you going to question me, why it cannot be max speed? The official answer is listed on the item 2. Best effort basis service! This rocks! why not next time they advertised 100mbps connection as those First World Country and provide the Third World connection to subscribers? Hey! If you are marching towards Wawasan 2020, you gotta stop providing your services with Third World Mentality!

5. The only service that gives you no satisfaction but keep draining your money into their pockets! Yeah! I am serious!! As serious as I love you!!! Since I am soooooooo unhappy with the service. I can always terminate it right? ... I tell you... in Malaysia, we are not really good in reading those words with font size 5! On their service contract, they did mention if a subscriber wanted to discontinue the service. They must be subscribed to the service for at least 12 months or willing to pay up to 12 months in order to un-subscribe. WooooHooooo! You see now... The power of "Black and White". Do you ever have the feeling that you betrayed by your country which always says "Malaysia Boleh" but end up... I boleh, you tak boleh (this mean I can, you cannot). All your money belongs to me! Har har har har har

6. Now you may start to wonder. Why today Kok Ming is so free to write about something which every one knows but useless? Why Kok Ming is soooooooooooo eager to blog this useless speech and none bother? The answer is....

Thank you TM Net. You makes me has the time to compile this blog entry. So I would like to write something about you in order to show my most sincere appreciation.

My internet connection is down since evening... went up for 1 hour and down again... I check the speed from the modem that I acquire from TM Net... 160kbps up... 32kbps down. It definitely rocking for dotA, RANOnline or my porn download!!  see picture below as a prove.

(160 Kbps / 1024 Kbps) * 100% = Wow! That's below 70% of the advertised speed. So I go to reset the modem and hopes it will be better.......  Dang! I hit the jackpot! The modem is unable to establish the PPP link now. Give me five! no... I am going to warm the bed for you now.
