I found an interesting website, http://www.ilovelabels.my/

The concept of this website is great. Compare to those similar auction websites that I’ve seen… This is simply awesome because unlike the other website which needed you to pay in their currency yet suffer the currency exchange losses. But this accept most local bank payment which means you are say BYEBYE to the currency exchange losses!

Furthermore, the auction items are brand new in the box with standard manufacturer’s warranty!

You stand a chance to win an IPAD by register an account with them! The registration process is fast and easy too. It takes me about 68 seconds to completely activate my account!

It is so friendly that has a page that tell you how it works. Even a father like me can understand, it poses no challenge to the internet savvy like yourself!

It has a facebook fans page to share their latest updates and news too. Already having 2700+ fans, LIKE if you haven’t. At least it helps to spread the word to your friends who might be interested! Also, you can follow them on twitter too.

Consider to join this program if you are a blogger. It definitely worth your 5 minutes to write an entry for them! :)

Let me know if you win any item and receive it safely!

Happy bidding @ ilovelabels-shop-badge-01[1]

Rome is one of world's most photogenic cities. Ancient buildings with amazing architecture are all around Rome. Most attractions located at the heart of the city.

My first impression on Italian – they are extremely not helpful. They are not tourist-friendly at all. I understand that most of the Italian might not know how to speak English but they even do not bother to answer your question or shake their head… That’s really no good at all. So, be prepared for the worst, if you are going to travel Italy without basic Italian language course.

As a free and easy traveler or backpacking couple. We chosen to stay in guest house which offer a cheaper rate than hotel and also very near the train station. It all seems fine and good deal until...

Nothing more than a surprise “note” after you checked in the guest house… The picture below explains it all…

Apparently someone from Malaysia had rated this guesthouse as a “black shop”. So, at the point of time, we really thought being cheated. It is because during the check-in, the person in charge told us that the guesthouse is full and he had to move us to another building which the location is not as strategic as the one we booked. So… what else we can do? We can only accept it because we do not have any luxury time to search for another guesthouse with the same rate…

But once we settle down, it is actually not too bad. At least, it offer clean bath room, free wifi, kitchen with cooking facility and a big room. :)
Although it started with not too good impression but it ended with a comfortable stay.

Two days for Rome seems a little bit short because they are too many spots to cover. If you are going there, I’d recommend you to at least spend some time to walk around in order to experience the street feel.

If you are rushing or want to cover more tourist spots, you can take the train. It cost 4 Euro for a 24 hours ticket -very affordable price.

The spots that I visited as show in the photo namely Colosseum,  Vatican city, Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain!

Last but not least, I tried the Coca-cola too. Also bought a red vine to drink too. One important shopping/drinker note, Red vine is really cheap in Italy!

Ping me or leave a message if you need any traveling tips to Rome. I will be gladly to share more with you. :)

Full album photos can be view in my Picasa.

I still arranging the photo for Florence and Holland.

Happy reading!

Venice is my first stop in Italy. It also known as the Water City. One of the most beautiful city in the world. This is a must-stop point for you if you are visiting or going to visit Italy.

I stayed in Venice for 2 days 1 night. We departed from Skavsta (Sweden) airport. Upon the arrival to the airport, we took bus by ATVO to Venice . It costs 5 Euro / passenger. It is very reasonable price and the bus is comfortable enough too.

The tourist information center is very near to be bus station. It has a machine which sells Venice’s map. My advise is forget about the map. It will not be enough to guide you because it is a maze inside Venice… If you want to go to the tourists spot… rules of thumb -  Follow The Crowd! Also, the road / floor also has small arrow that point you to the San Marco square. xd

Venice is well-known by its buildings with amazing architecture on top of the water. Also, it is a car-less city! You don’t see vehicle with engines except boats… which is very good for tourists! Having said that, it is really cost us a lot of moves to take our baggage over the bridges before we found our hostel… sad
(* Reminder… there is a BIG HUGE bridge right at the city entrance which lead to the train station, don’t climb it with your baggage…)

Souvenir can be found almost every where with almost the same price… be sure you buy the mask once you found the right one. It is because after you leave Venice, it is rarely any more choices for you in the other cities … sigh

Very lucky that is an friendly old man approaches us and offer himself to point us the direction to our hostel. It really save us a lot of time to walk through the maze with our baggage. The hostel is just 7 minutes walk from the bus station and not bad at all! Private double room with queen size bed, air-con and windows! Clean and tidy! Free breakfast + flow free coffee!!

We leave our baggage and hunt for lunch… Guess what you would try during for the first meal in Italy?! Of course pizza!

In Venice, you can find almost every restaurant sells pizza in different flavor. Also, a lot of kebab too!

We had our lunch and continue our hunt for cheap Gelato (1 Euro)!  We found it and the seller also know how to great us in Chinese. hahaha

After we had the gelato, we found the cheapest combo meals in Venice too. But we never buy anything because we were full… wrong timing happysigh

Venice has a lot of bridges connection each piece of small island. In between each small island, it forms really cool view canal! Although the weather is not too nice but the picture turns out without much regret too hahaha

Not wasting anymore time from you. Here I present to you the most wanted San Marco square’s photo! grin

** Due to loading speed… full album is ready in my facebook or picasa.

The view of Venice from top. Not much people have this view tho, at least for the website I been into :hehehe:

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy my stay in Venice!

Happy viewing!

My Euro-trip started in Stockholm city. Discard the work days, had extended two days – one night to stay in Stockholm to enjoy the city.

Right after my wife arrived, we head to meet a net friend of mine! Yes, you see it right. NET friend hahaha

I get to know her because of a Swedish friend… yes, another net friend. At that time, they were still together but not now. (that’s quite a disappointment because I did not get to meet the Swedish… anyway, there’s always chance!)

I met her once, like 5 years ago… She travel around Asia and when she stop at Malaysia, we (me and  my wife) picked her up for some bak kut teh and roti canai! Time flies… 5 years gone and it is my luck to meet her again in Stockholm! We had some chat about life and how’s things had changed… It was a great start for my trip!

We rented a small cabin inside a boathouse. It is really small… but enough for 2. It has sufficient spaces for you to have your dinner and a clean restaurant. Overall, it is not bad.

This is the view from the boat restaurant windows.

Our day definitely started with not too good weather… It is because the weather is not good… the sun was hidden behind the clouds and very windy.

The first stop for the day is the Royal Palace. The timing was perfect! We had the chance to witness the The Royal Guard exchange which is a old tradition of Sweden. It happens every sunday at 12:00 PM near the Royal Palace in Stockholm. (Hopefully I am correct :P) . A lot of visitors were queued up for the performance!

Herewith some photos of the guard exchange. Live performances presented as well. (I believe we shoot a movie of it… will dig it out and post it later :-) )

For the two days in Stockholm, we had walked through the old town (Gamla Stan) and also the city centre… Nothing notable but everything looks so new to us! hahaha

This is the landmark in front of my company office.

Some building and scenery shots… from various places such as on top of the bridge that connecting city centre with Gamla Stan, the city hall and etc…

Of course some night view…

To be honest, the weather is really cold which caused me really hesitated to move my hand out from pocket to take photo… (definitely not a reason for not producing high quality shots…) xd

I hope you enjoy the photo as much as I enjoy Stockholm!

As most of you know, I just got back after travelling around these 3 countries – Sweden, Italy and Netherlands.

I only able to cover Stockholm for Sweden and Amsterdam in Netherlands. Italy is my primary focus, been into Venice, Rome, Florence and Pisa.

Taken a lot of photo but before I start posting it. I would like to share this with you while it is still fresh in my memory…

It could be very useful if you are planning a Europe trip especially to the 3 countries that I visited.

These are my gains on the trip, of course, with some painful cost too.

Let’s start it now.

1. If you want cheap flight, go for Ryanair, but it is not cheap if you do not book with discounted price… You have to check it daily, it will change the price and you only book it when it reaches your price. Normally the flight can go as cheap as 10 Euros… It could save you hundred of Euros if you book 2-3 return flights.

2. Get a weekly pass on train or buses if you going to stay longer in a city. It will usually cheaper if you factor in the time you saved from walking. However, if you are hardcore backpacker who want to walk and has plenty of time to experience the atmosphere… then forget this. LoL.

3. Always plan your itinerary and book necessary accommodation and transportation in advance. It will save you a lot!

3. This is painful lesson… The City Terminal in Stockholm is not backpacker friendly. It close on 12AM and open on 3AM. If you have early buses or train… You better find a place to stay for the night, for example, go to the airport because it usually don’t close… If you really want to stay around the city, you can choose to spend your midnight in the Mc Donald nearby the terminal. It is 24/7…

4. When you are at Venice… No need to spend 2 euro to buy the map… It is a maze. Just follow the crowd… You should be able to reach the tourist spot… How you can get back to your hostel… That is up to your memory :P

5.  In Italy, street food are cheap! Home cook cheapest! Restaurant are evil. hahaha

6. If you travelling around Italy by inter-city train. Be sure you reach the terminal an hour earlier than the schedule because some terminals are really huge, it will take some times to walk to your train…

7. English does not work for Italy. Prepare for the worst!

8. Mc Donald offer the cheapest fast food (burgers)! 1 euro 1 burger.

9. Train in Netherlands has different type namely, intercity, sneltrein and sprinter… I could be wrong but this is a hard-learnt experience where all the sign board are not written in English…

Intercity – Stop every city (Note: not every station or terminal but only those marked “IC”)
Sneltrein – Slight more stopping point (Note: only stop at terminal with those marked “IC” and “S”)
Sprinter – Stop every station / terminal.

10. Most toilet costs money… some are free on major tourist spots. If paying for pee is not cost-effective for you. You can either find a tree to cover up or always empty it when you sees free toilet. xd

11. Generally, the people in hostel are very approachable. Spend time to introduce yourself and talk to them. Perhaps you can add a few more friends to your FB hahaha

I have more to write but this is getting very lengthy. If you are about to go to these countries. Drop me a mail or leave me a message, I will be gladly to share my itinerary with you. :-)

Last but not least, I am kind of surprise because I met 2 foreigners that speak Mandarin with me… First is an Swedish old lady in Stockholm, and a handsome father from United States who I met in Ventican.

Hope you find this useful!

Hey folks! I am back with the food------blog again.

Few weeks ago(during March 2010), a Swedish guest brought us to Gaucho Grill for some western food! Yeah, the guest paid for the food hahaha It sounds illogic right? But that’s how thing happen…

At least, I know this is a pricey restaurant. For myself, I dare not to go there if I want to have a value meal.

The restaurant is serving Argentina food, as you can see from the dishes with Argentina flag. Must be a very patriotic owner! goodjob

The interior of the restaurant itself is not very attractive, I find it is too dark or perhaps it just not my type of design shy

This can be the most expensive nachos that i had ever tried. RM20/set … We ordered two sets as appetizer.

The notable part is the cheese and dressing, it makes the nachos more tasty!

My colleagues order the medium rare rib-eye. It price at RM65 or RM68… I did not taste it so I could not tell you more about it. But from the bloody plate after the meal, I can tell you that was really medium rare!! hahaha

This is my order grill lamb! Price at RM75!! Yeah… you see it right! RM75! What a pricey lamb...

The meat was well done, not tough to chew. The taste has nothing special … or perhaps… this is not my type of food. LoL.

This restaurant is located @ Chulan Square. Opposite of the Pavilion. If you have some extra money, why not try it?! After all, not much authentic Argentina food that you can find in KL.

After the meal, we went up to Ampang Look Out Point for another round of drinks and some photo. At least we bring the guest to have a KL night view as the return of pricey dinner. Again, he paid for the drinks too… ohoho1

** Photos were taken with Ixus 75 because I were too lazy to tag along my 450D. Forgive my shaky hands, really too long never hold the small machine… :P

Timing is the top most critical factor for success. In Chinese, we have a phrase “天时,地利,人和” which can be translated to perfect timing, strategic location, established human relationship.

At times, we have to make difficult decision along the journey of life. You could have the best decision making skill but still fail.

The chances of making decision will grow as you gain age. Decision can be tough when there are too much to consider.

No one can tell the perfect timing to make and implement important decision. Simply because, you would not know what happen after your decision. If it turns out good, then you are in good timing or vice versa…

3 months ago, I decided resign and change my career back to a software developer. Yes, from a Professional Services manager to software developer in a newly start up offshore development centre.

A lot was yelling I am crazy or some even say this is a very bad move. That is a big NO NO to trade off your talent / capability for the sake of money (higher pay). Yes, I know it is very risky backward move… but this doesn’t mean I will lost all knowledge and experiences. I am taking a step back to regain my direction and forward planning.

Now, people start praising me… and say that the timing for me to leave is just perfect.

You know why? It is because the company had shut down and some got retrenched too. So, this incident had changed people’s view on my decision.

I am not the oracle, I don’t know what will happen. During that time, my decision is driven by my financial needs and I trade off my career. Anyway, I don’t feel lucky or happy because I am escaped. I feel sad since the shut down had caused some people lost their job.

I want to share with you, no one can tell you the perfect timing for everything. If you believe it is right time to do it, then just do it without regret. Simple as that!

Do the right thing, as long as you are happy then you’ll be alright. Good luck!

Chinese New Year is around the corner. I had done my shopping except a pair of new shoes… Well, rather than forcing myself to get one for the sake of new year. I’d prefer to live without it.

This weekend, family is not heading back to hometown. So, we have some time to bring our little princess out for a walk. We went to The Curve… pretty disappointed because the decorations were too little. Frankly speaking, it is lack of Chinese New Year feel everywhere!

Hehe, out of topic for the first two paragraphs. Sorry, I could not help myself. xd

For today, we dine in the Garden. It is because the environment is so nice and we seldom go out… So why not try this place which attracts us the most!

As you can see, the attraction is the interior. It is so lovely and romantic. Look at it, best spot for couples! hahaha

We ordered spaghetti and dory fish. Both are tasty. My little princess love the spaghetti very much too!

Food portion is just nice for normal eater. The food serving speed is very fast too!

Pricing wise, it is reasonable enough. You won’t regret to choose this as a place to dine with your love one.

With the good food and nice environment, compliment each other perfectly. This is definitely highly rated and I will revisit when time permits!

If you have not got a restaurant for Valentines dinner, then this is a good consideration for you.

Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentines!

This is a long awaited event that I pinned into my calendar!

PC Fair is always has its charm on me. A few years ago, I shoot with Ixus 40 and later equip with my 450D. People do not understand why I am so interested and passionate into this… Some even say “Can’t you go on the street and just approach the pretty for a photo? Stop being a pathetic uncle and walk into crowd of youth”... So true and I must try it some days later! happysigh

You know… After shooting the event for a few times, it is kind of a must do activity… Beginning, it was merely for blogging the event beauty. Later it turns out to be a group activity. It has increase a lot of laughter and fun factor too. I simply enjoy the time that we walk and shoot in group, get a pose from the model and the moment we share the photos and comments. hahaha

Ok… enough “opening”. Let’s get into the content. :-)

This time, although we still seeing a lot of old faces but we do notice that new faces popped up. goodjob

I picked some nicer shots to place into this entry, so it won’t overkill someone’s slow internet connection. The full album is available here!

As shown, 1 round will be 1.06KM, and we did 2 rounds. That quite some walking, hehe. The Gold-man photo is here because it does not fit into the babe catergory. :hohoho:

Lastly, it is my show time with the light saber!

That’s the end for this entry. I enjoyed it very much and I do hope the same on you too.

Happy commenting!

After a long time since the last family gathering, we decided to enjoy the buffet lunch at Noble House while my parents in law are in town.

We heard and read enough good reviews which saying how worth to have the buffet lunch with unlimited Peking Ducks. Also the mouth watering dishes such as Shark fin and Crispy Pork at Noble House.

After this tried… I am very sure I will not pay this much of money for this kind of food again… It was over-rated… way too much different from the others review…

Let’s start the show now!

The buffet start 11:30AM but I was told to arrive there 12PM… so we go in late and it was crowded when we arrive there.

Since we were late… I did not manage to shoot the interior because it was really crowded.

As you can see, majority of the food are deep-fried and a small Dim-Sum corner with some steamed food. If you are healthy eater, I believe this buffer is not suitable for you…

From most review, I learnt that the Peking Duck is unlimited supply and you can take as many as you wish. It is so true!

But before we can materialize our dream to have unlimited Peking Duck, it is to QUEUE! hahaha

I am disappointed because the Peking Duck was not tasty. It taste like oily sweet pancake…

The crispy pork was not nice at all… Most reviews said the fat melt in the mouth and the skin crispy like biscuit!

I can tell you… Any hawker stall can sell better food then this… :sadism:

The shark fin was the worst, weird taste and the texture like glue… got cheated … cryrun

I have tried most food except dim-sum because I was lazy to check on it after too many disappointments… However, the prawn salad and the lamb was notable. At least it is able to gives me a reason that this restaurant still serve something nice and tasty happysigh

Over RM50/person, lousy service (no one help to refill water and clean up)… not so tasty food…

I would not recommend you to go.

But if you are keen to try it out, go ahead and enjoy.

Until I blog the next entry. Happy commenting!

Let’s not critic on my bad Mal-lish in naming this entry… I have something to share with you. This was happen two weeks ago, and until now, I still find it is hilarious.

Before we start, I have to explain to you about my role. As many of you know I am a person who handle the client engagement for example chit chat with them to find out what they want, prepare a quote / proposal and so on. My company (not my business) is a Software house… To simplify this, you can call me IT Sales-person and we start the interesting story-telling now.

A customer approach me a.k.a. the IT Sales-person to enquire a quotation for a application report customization. Without any delay, I reply with a quotation which is RM1,000. The customer was shocked and reply “Why so expensive?”. The customer start to challenge that the original report that we deliver to her was a piece of junk and why she has to pay for fixing the junk. I totally agree that we should not pay for junk! So I support her and request her to justify it. Sadly, she couldn’t. I couldn’t help her so I advise her to reconsider our quote.

Then she say, proceed with it and she will pay RM400… Ok… This is getting interesting. She wants the work to be completed but only pay 40% of the price? Immediately, I declined by saying that is not enough to cover the running cost and it will be a net loss for my company. Then the conversation start to be not-so-pleasant but I am generous enough to complete the work for her and to discuss the pricing later. But she is not agreeable to that and wanted to rebill me on the time she spent to speak with me… Now, let’s see who wants to deliver the work and who is trying to be ridiculous…

If you find something is expensive, you have 2 choices. Buy or Leave to another alternative. Simple as that.

Even that you own a piece of junk, you want to dispose it. You will still have to pay for the disposal fees, correct?

Again… apply the same situation on KFC Shrimp Stix . Can you tell KFC that your shrimp stix is only 20% of your advertising size, so I will only pay your 20% of the price? I believe the Uncle KFC will turn alive and dip you into the burning oil… hahaha

Another example, I am a very difficult customer for TMNET Streamyx. However, I still have to pay FULL subscription fees every month, otherwise they will terminate my account and charge me reconnection fees after I settle the outstanding bill! Yes! They terminate you and still charge you for reconnection… how ridiculous… furthermore the best effort basis is the worst in the world. I wish I have the power to demand but no…

You see, in a commercial world. We are the consumer, the best way to safe guard our benefit is to be a smart consumer. The provider can choose whether or not to deal with you too. So, there is nothing by force…

If the customer can set the price and the provide has to accept it. Then I will go to Japanese restaurant eat the abalone and salmon sashimi for RM1 / meal… because the restaurant are serving the dead corpses of fish without any cooking. I am so kind to go in and eat them all, save their money to dispose those junk too! xd

Hope you had a good laugh and able to find some learning points in this entry. :-)

At times, we will be asked “What do you want?”.

Many people ask and answer in many different styles. For example, what do you want for blogging? How would you want me to answer?

I want to blog for living or blog for money… In reality, my blog barely survive with the advertiser funds only…

In life, what do we want, will not be what we can get. A lot of people tends to think things happen logically or the-way-they-want-it-to-be …

When things are not happening in the way that it should be, they will be disappointed… for example, you bought a DSLR, but still could not get a professional style photo from it. Then you start to be disappointed… Perhaps, buying a DSLR will give others an impression that you -maybe- a professional… However, it is still depends on your skills to compose the photo. Again… if you have no skill then you have to spend extra effort in order to acquire the skills.

If you still don’t get what I am trying to convey from the above… Never mind, read next.

What do you want, it is always need to spend the equivalent effort to get it. Let’s say, you want more salary, then you have to work harder either in your current job or search harder to get a better pay job! Simple as that! You are the one who knows what you want and how to get it!

There are nothing happen logically… no one can control anything that beyond their wills.

Honestly, I am not a mature human, neither you are… At least, we will have to figure out the answer for this question.

What do you want in life?

Many years ago, I had this simple mindset. I thought money can solve everything, whatever money can solve, there are no problem at all!

Today, I found myself is not entirely correct. Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to tell you something like “I found love overcome money”, “My family is greater than all” or “Money just can’t buy anything”… these are bullshit… love can’t keep you alive without money to buy food!

Indeed, I am still find we need money to resolve problems but not as easy as paying it only. Most of the time, we have to be involved in order to get the best outcome too.

Money, it is still the essence to all kind of solutions but money cannot build solution.

Money can buy books but not knowledge.

Money can buy supplement but not health.

Money can buy sex but not love.

Money can buy a lot of stuffs but you have to be involved in order to get the best outcome!

Let’s say, you are hungry and you want to feed yourself with food. So, you need to buy a fresh salad with your money. Now, look into this way. Money, you use it to buy food. It can’t grow vegetables, it can’t be chew like fresh salad and it is definitely not safe to eat! Do you still think money can kill your hunger without you spend it on food?

I want to express that is all solutions associated with cost / price. It is not money that builds solution.

I am frustrated, very irritated when someone says “We’ll pay for it, do it”.

First of all, before you say that sentence, better think twice. By saying this sentence, you may feel very bossy and very proud but it also shows how childish you are… … Sometimes, people may reject you due to self-esteem. If this happen, what else you do with your beloved money? Think… Respect.

Again, never ever say “I am willing to pay, you better figure out yourself on how to solve my problem”. OK, let’s stay away from this kind of human being. Money is one of the important ingredient of all solutions, but it is not a medium for you to push your problem to the others! Have your teacher teach you never put your hope on people that eyeing on your money? I, myself, appreciate your trust on me. However, I must advise that whenever shit happens, you are your own life saver.

Think – you are seeking assistance, not someone begging you to pay. You have to pay because every solution associates with price. Get it right or leave.

After reading this, do you think your can solve everything with money?

Today, 28-Jun-2009. I had a great lunch with my love one. We went to Xenri D’ Garden Terrace for Japanese food.

By stepping into the restaurant, I feel Japanese! Yes. Japanese! See the terrace and the interior of this restaurant, I bet you will feel the same. xd

This restaurant is not very spacious, compare to others, it is a rather small since it don’t have many seats too. I find this is very good…

You do not need to wait for a long long queue to get your food. The number of waiters/waitress are more than the customers. hahaha

Very good service, polite and tidy! goodjob

This restaurant serves Japanese food. We went there for buffet lunch! 5 sections describe all food which are appetizer, cooked Japanese food, sashimi /sushi and shabu-shabu, beverages and desserts!

Not much variety but I liked this. It do not have much distractions! I can focus to eat whatever I love to without the urge to tryout something new. shy

Here, you don’t need to have a VIP card to make your order. It has 20 dishes that you can order for free and unlimited quantity! It serves with the portion which is really for one person only.

This cuttlefish ring and tempura are the menu orders. It serves hot and fresh! Especially the tempura, not oily and it is crispy outside but soft inside, unlike the others which are full with flour. These are just nice!

Fresh sashimi and sushi are very tasty! I ate not much because my stomach filled by other food. hahaha

These are the food which filled up my stomach… Cheese baked oyster and unagi!! Since it has not much choices of food, I focus on these two. LoL.

See the oyster size, it is just nice. It serve without strange/weird taste unlike the others palm-size oyster. It is definitely worth to try it out!

This is the Japanese style cuttlefish and the lobster salad. When there are less people, you get all the chances to pick lobster meat~~ hahaha

Conclusion, this is a very nice restaurant for Japanese food. Although I never been to Japan, but this is a restaurant impress me with Japanese food! goodjob

Pricing wise, it did comes with a good price tag, RM55/person. We got 20% discount, so the bill end up lesser. shy2

Here is the map! You must try this out!

P/S: Photos taken with my IXUS 75…

P/S2: No chinese version for this… it is kinda late now… forgive me :P

Hey folks! I am back from a dinner with almost-empty stomach. I had a appetizer, main course, desserts and coffee but still hungry!

Yeah! Fine dining rocks! xd

Thanks to the company willing to sponsor us for an annual department dinner. This year, we went to 7atenine located at Ascott Kuala Lumpur.

First of all, the interior impressed me a lot. The lighting and environment is much more better than other restaurants. Perhaps that is why we are paying more for the food. faint

Let’s zoom into the food! My blog is definitely focus on food! Unlike other bloggers who like to post self-eating-portrait. hahaha

This is the appetizer, 789 salad. It comes with some mixed vege… oh well, that’s why it is a salad. It has some cheese and four pieces of smoked salmon!

The taste is great. Fresh and light. Excellent for appetizer. goodjob

After the appetizer, I had my main course which is seabass! Hm… not the whole fish… just a tiny little piece. wuuu Honestly, when it appear in front of me, I am screaming in my mind “Oh my god!”. What a big piece of fish… Regardless the portion, the taste is still great. The fish was nicely cooked. Crispy outside and juicy inside! However, I could not say it is perfect because it failed to fulfill the basic requirement of food which is to satisfy my empty stomach. Too bad! sigh

This is another main course which my colleague ordered. I tasted it. The fish is better. hahaha

Desserts was single scope ice-cream on top of some puddings. Not really like it because the ice-cream tasted sour. autism

But the coffee taste good. Strong scent but smooth.

This is a lychee cocktail which does not taste that good too…

Overall, tasty food for hungry people. Not encourage you to go even if you are filthy rich. Your money deserves better values. ohoho1

My first fine dining experience end here. Thanks for reading. Come back soon~

Each people tends to build up comfort zone and live happily inside it. I wonder, how much does it cost to walk out from the comfort zone. Sometimes, people need courage and convincing reasons to step out of their comfort zone. When shit happens, people step back into it and continue to live happily.

Is it a correct attitude to live with?

Tonight, a thoughtful night for me. I keep thinking on the people I met. Different kind of attitude and different background too.

Decision can be tough to make if people are framed by comfort zone because they are afraid to risk the comfort.

On the other hand, when people are outside the comfort zone, they can make the toughest decision without much consideration since they have nothing to lose!

The only matter is mindset. Why can’t we make the toughest decision in our comfort zone?

All decisions associate with risk and opportunity too! Without taking any risk, you couldn’t touch any opportunity too. There is no free lunch in this world! When you are dare to lose, then you are a step closer to the winning stage!

Step out and step forward, people! Do first die later!

Last week, 22-01-2009, we have a farewell(s) party for a few colleagues who are going to leave us soon. We went to the Tenji @ Solaris for a Japanese Buffet!

When I first walked on Solaris, I can feel the elegant of the surroundings. Step in to Tenji, the environment is far more better than Jogoya  and Shogun!

The food taste not as good as Jogoya, the price is higher than the listed two too…

The most notable food is the palm-sized oyster, I didn’t try it … it looks weird to swallow the oyster… honestly, do you feel good when the liquid inside the big oyster exploit inside your mouth?

Need not the say much as it has nothing different or outstanding than any other Japanese buffet. Take a look on the photo-loots. xd

Not encourage you to go unless you have extra money to spend…

On 15th December 2008, we went to Pavilion KL to have team lunch again~

It is nothing fancy about Pepper Lunch. Normal style of fast slow food serving in a fast way.

I can’t recall the taste of the dishes because it does not taste very good shy So it didn’t leave any image in my mind. hahaha

The only fun-thing at Pepper Lunch is you will have to cook for your own dish. It serves with burning plate with raw meat and rice~ You have to work a little on it before you enjoy the meal. That is kinda fun although I didn’t cook mine xd

For the price offered and the portion & taste of the food, I wouldn’t recommend you to go for it… I know new franchise deserve encouragement but not this time…

I took some photos back for you too.

It seems that this blog is running for 2 years and still keep going. Thank you for your support! goodjob

Last year, I work like a cow…

This year, very likely I won’t repeat the same thing. I will keep myself peaceful to end year 2008 in a very harmony way.

Let’s see what I’ve done for year 2008.

1. The most notable is that my little princess! She is 1 year old now!! Although it is tiring to looks after her but it really worth the tiredness because there is nothing give me more  happiness by sharing every moment with her~ hahaha

2. My 2nd baby is coming soon, expected delivery is around mid of year 2009! Exciting news huh? ohoho2

3. I gained some weight. Yes I did! xd

4. I bought a DSLR camera. It is Canon EOS 450D. Stay tuned for more ass-kicking photos!

5. I spend a month (November 2008) to acquire Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD Web Dev). It is remarkable because after 7 years of no-exam period. I still manage to kill certs like I used to! It means I am still good! Yeah. Still good… for now he

Okay… Now, it looks like I didn’t archive much for my job… Yes, indeed. Nothing but more workload. It really makes me feel tired for working hard, sometimes. I did a lot of stuffs but none really good enough to share or I do not recall anything that can be called achievement… smoker

Let’s start planning for the next year! (Finally, I’m going to end this boring entry soon!)

1. To get a financial booster, perhaps a freelance, better opportunity, part time or be my own boss. Not really badly needed extra income but it will be good to start saving for my soon to be born baby. gimme

2. To start looking for a new house if item #1 goes well…

3. Look for a new job if item #1 not going well… I heard Dell is expanding~~ grin

4. To put my family on the highest priority. Previously, I’m too much concern on work and performance. It caused and cost me to spend most of my time into the job… Now, I think it is really a time for me to enjoy the family life. Job gone, I still can get other. Family time past, I couldn’t rewind.

Ok… I think that’s all for this moment melody

Happy New Year!

PC Fair @ Kuala Lumpur again!

This round, I reached there at 10:30AM but it was full with human! It was damn crowded, simply too much of people flowing into convention centre. damn

Let’s not waste our time, this time, according to Lowyat.net, the booth babes turn out somewhat discouraging. It did spoil some of my motivation but without seeing it myself, I won’t believe it! hahaha

So I went there with a buddy (let’s greet him as DSLR camera-man!). It is not difficult to spot the booth babes but to hunt for the pretty ones does take us some effort to scout the halls over and over again. xd

Let’s see what I had brought back for you~ glass

At the entrance, we see this Acer girl. Not bad! It lights up our motivation!

Two cute girls from AMD.

Lenovo booth.

We found 4 Dell babes. So colorful!

Another two from Dell too.

Well… it is written I M LOST. So would you bring her home? haha~

Toshiba! This is the top pair of babes in almost all forum discussion!

Compare to the previous Toshiba babes. These two is a bit quiet :P

Another Lenovo girl. Looks better :D

Nvidia booth! The babe on left looks sweet enough for me~

Whitebox~

After the first photo, we manage to gather 2 Whitebox babe together!

Sony Vaio! Always the best choice of babes!

KOne babes.

KOne girls but not babes. We asked them for photo, they replied that the two girls besides are show girls not them. But they are kind enough to let us take this photo. Haha! Thick-faced uncle I am…

Microsoft Office! Teens! (Correct me if I am wrong…)

Kingsoft. Liked their costume, fire up all guys :P You will know later…

Lumix girl… Looks very familiar

Kingston booth! They were standing inside the counter but we invited them out for a photo. Haha Kingston babes again~ DSLR camera-man’s friend… he can only recognize her after taking this photo…

GCube babe looks tall enough~ Pelikan babe looks good too~ (said by my queen) haha! Two young babes but I can’t recall which booth. :-(

HTC babe! I remember to costume. Same as last time… Another HTC babes with smile~ Kingsoft babe and can you tell why they fire up guys by now? LoL

Police! Never get caught! Cute police from Apacer booth. I surrender myself :P

Dicota babes were hidden inside but still can’t escape from us! Kingsoft is every where~ Someone found her blog. But… I can’t recall which booth… does not looks like HTC tho…

YO!!!! CNX strikes again. :D Same babes! I took photo with them during previous PC fair! :) All CNX babes~ Very friendly, all comes once invited. Nurses… you can see them in every corner of the PC fair… the 2nd largest colony after the Telcos gangs…

Christmas comes early~ Yes! Indeed!! Guess what? After the police, I found a commando~

Some artwork from Comixo. It is sad that this time we don’t have Cosplay. cryrun For your laughter. It came from previous PC fair too.

I hope you enjoy the photos. If I am lucky that you are one of the booth babes, do leave me a comment. e

If anything wrong with this, please forgive me. beg

Happy viewing!!

Yesterday, I went for a hair cut. I had a talk with the business owner and also a professional stylist, Bernard. A few times, he discussed this topic to me which every one had asked me the same question too. bigeye

Do you write program/applications/system for the anybody?

My answer is "Yes". Of course I will do it when there is a profit but not necessary to every one. cool

Bernard told me that he had acquired a few quotations from some suppliers ranging from RM20,000 to RM40,000. He wants a computerize system to capture all customer data and allow all his branches to share the same database for products or benefits redemption. A very good objective and very positive business motive too. I must praise him because that is not much of business owner will really care about how to increase customer satisfaction. goodjob

Although he has a good objective but that is not enough. To be honest, whenever there is a business, there is profit or loss.

I did share some of point of views with Bernard because I see the investment is not small for a small / medium business.

First, he must think about the Return of Investment a.k.a. ROI. To be frank, he did not thought about it. He was thinking to have a system to process things faster and consume lesser man power. So my question to  him is "How much profit do you expect the computer system to generate for you?". His answer is "Not really generating any profit". I was so shock... I replied "Then you should not consider to apply any computer system, because you are investing on something that don't bring you any profit... So why you do it? Better purchase more business related products or equipments in order to provide better service to the customers. That will bring better impact to your business." smoker

Second, I advise him to aim for true Win-Win instead of a fake dream. The question is how to maximum the value for money that a customer spent in each transaction? There are no reasons to ask your customer to pay more because you are going for computerization. If you do not ask your customer to pay more then yourself have to bare the system cost which did not add any value to your business profit. So why bother to apply I.T. where you can't formulate a really Win-Win strategy for it? I am not attempt to force him to retreat but this is the crucial point for all business owners to think about... All of you need a system to generate money but not to waste your hard-earn money. The story can be different if you are filthy rich...

Third, I have asked him, "Do you have any idea on how to guarantee the customer loyalty?". Obviously, he was thinking that the computer system is able to help to secure a customer by providing membership to them. Well, this is partially true. It is because if his competitors apply the same or more advance membership system then his investment will be mostly turn into no value... The first thing he should do it to think on how to secure the customer based by rolling out the computer system. bingo

Anyway, our chat did not go any further because my hair is not that long. Only 20 minutes, he managed to get my hair into a good and stylish shape again! xd

I pay the bill and come back to share this with you.

I hope this give you some thinking points when you are going for computerization. glass

Some weeks ago (around September 2008), my team went for team lunch again. Yay! Company paid lunch with our choice of food. hahaha

First step into the cafe, makes me feel weird. At the moment, I can't figure out why it is weird. After some minutes, shuttering around, found out that the cafe is full with FEMALE. LoL. Only our table has some handsome men... shy

The environment is not bad. It is comfortable and tidy.

Food ordering time! To be real honest to you, my English sucks big time, I hate menu without photos! faint

Always, I cannot understand what the dishes are except the common ingredient names like Lamb, Cheese, Mushroom, Beef, Eggs and etcetera.

I worried on the serving size... I used to dine in some restaurant so I know a few western dishes will come with reasonable size. But this... looks into the menu, got a lot of choices for example sandwiches, pastas, soup, rice and etc. Well, all looks so "small" to me! he

Finally, asked a buddy what is Lamb Shank, his answer is "Sure big enough to stuff you well!" yes

Without a second thought, I ordered Moroccan Lamb Shank with Tomato rice xd

Look!! It serves with huge bone ~~~ LoL. Worth the spending!

Some other orders were the Salmon rice, Beef Pasta and Salmon Pasta. We had 2 pieces of cake for desserts. (I could not remember the food names because the receipt was submitted for claim shy )

Overall, all dishes serve in a reasonable size for female or small eater sigh

The taste was not bad at all. Very healthy cooking with less oil, little salt and almost no extra "ajinomoto". This is slow food too!

Give it a try if you do not aim for value for money hahaha

5 points is max

Food:4 points

Environment:3.5 points

Honestly, I have the urge to blog this.

Some ridiculous question and answer tele-conversations that I had gone through with some Citibank customer service.

I called them 2 times, and they called me 3 times where each call asked the same verification questions as below.

1. Can I have your IC Number?
My answer: Sure. ******-**-****

2. May I know your last billing statement amount from Citibank?
My answer: Elo!!!! I am not going to carry the fully paid billing statement in my pocket for the sake of your call! Imagine if you are me, would you carry the paper to go shopping? [Ridiculous! but it is still going on which another silly question...]

3. May I know your last transaction amount?
My answer: Hey! Stop being stupid! I can't even remember on when is the last transaction which I buy stuff with the credit card from your fuck up bank! Stop asking this kind of question! Ok?! onfire

4. Sir, last question, may I know your date of birth?
My answer: KANASAI !! Don't be so dumb! You are being offensive in a very silly way!!! My birth date can be read from my IC Number. Can you check it? Stop insulting my intelligence or try to bring me down to your level of stupidity! onfire onfire

To be very frank, I have very unpleasant experiences with these tele-conversations. No doubt, the customer service asked what they supposed to ask. But hey! You are insulting people's intelligence by asking silly questions and insist them to answer in full! That is annoying and irritating! autism

I don't find it good or secure by asking the above "verification" question! It is just too silly but this is how Citibank Malaysia conduct verification! Really a bodoh-lah process! xd

Raja Petra is arrested under Internal Security Act.

Right after the official news broadcast from Malaysia Today. It becomes hot-topic!

It is shock-less to me. It always has been the most "intelligent" trick that Malaysia Government can come out.

A lot of people are filled with anger, disappointment and sadness. They want to strike, protest or rally. But please! Be calm and drink a coffee... Start to think about it.

If PDRM (Polis Diraja Malaysia) has enough proof to sue Raja Petra, they have already apply the law suits instead of the lousy I.S.A.

Don't start any protest or strike but question the officials on why Raja Petra and other journalists are caught but the Ahmad Ismail is still enjoying his life till the max?

It is obvious that this is only a trick / trap to loosen or weaken the strength of the free-voices. We should not be afraid and we have to remain calm.

Let's see whether they will employ some temporary actors a.k.a. jokers to pretend to be Raja Petra's supporters to create riot... So they can blame everything to Raja Petra.

The end of their day is approaching near! Let's see how much of the "remaining" entertainment that they can bring to us!

I just go back from a company paid conference, SOFTEC 2008. The venue is at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. This is a 2 days conference. The speakers came from Korea, Japan, Vietnam and some local companies.

Opps.... I forgot to tell you what is this conference topic. It is about Software Testing. Some industry standards and ISO standard were discussed during the conference too.

Basically, nothing really amaze me... but the speakers from various countries and the attendees from various local authorities and ministry did surprise me quite a bit. It is because I never expected that my company actually paid the conference fees but others attendees are almost sponsored by someone else autism

The conference is not boring at all. Speakers are experienced enough but was feed by too many food... fall asleep in the afternoon sleepy

Let's check out the food that I had hahaha

Food is more enjoyable~

That's all for now.

Happy commenting!

Today, we went to the STADT restaurant @ Kepong to try out the German cuisine. It was always my aim to try this because I wanted to try the German Pork Knuckle!! finally

The interior design of the restaurant is outstanding in the way that it successfully posed the look and feel of a foreign design. But I never been to German, so I would not know whether or not this is a good German design. The only not so good comment from me is that environment is too lousy. It spoiled the feel. The restaurant should closed the glass door and it can be more comfortable. The customer can enjoy their meal comfortably too.

I ordered Jasmine Tea, German Pork Knuckle with honey and German White Sausage! he

Show time! This Pork Knuckle cost RM39.90. Although it is a luxury but can you see the crispy skin? The outlook appearance is a crime!

Look at the juicy meat, it is summoning you to take a bite of it! The crispy skin and the mouth melting taste, satisfying me till the max! RM39.90, worth the price!! goodjob

This is a chef's recommendation too, German White Sausage, RM17.90. Look at the dishes, the display looks nice and colourful. It reminds me on the high class food that always show in AFC (Asia Food Channel). Never thought any restaurant in Kepong would care about this factor. This is a good dish (food)! 38moe

This lunch spent RM67.90, but worth the satisfaction!

If 5 points is maximum.

Food: 4 points

Environment: 4 points

Service: 3.5 points

This is a restaurant you would like to try! bingo

Nelson Tan,

=============================================================

English version of the above...

First of all, congratulation to the Nelson Tan Cafe and Restaurant winning the second BAN FOR LIFE award from this blog! (The first winner is Huang Ah Ma Noodle house, R.I.P. already...)

The_one winning reason: Too materialistic, extremely extra-ordinary money-minded! My buddy and me were thinking to have some business talks, enjoy a cup of tea and some delicious food for supper. When we step inside, we were told that this shop do not have WIFI installed. Fine, that's acceptable because we should not expect all shop offers WIFI too. So we still continue to march inside, got a seat, settle down and look into the menu. My buddy switched on his notebook while we are waiting to order. After the notebook booted into Windows, the waitress comes to us and say "We are charging RM1.50 per hour of electricity use". We have not order anything, waited for 15 minutes, she ran into us, not taking any order but to tell us this and hope for MORE profit! Way to go! For fuck sake, I am on fire! It is simply ridiculous that you are being so money minded as a restaurant which is setup inside a residential area! We left because this kind of shop does not deserve to earn my money!

The food over there starting price is RM5, drinks are RM4 or higher. I could not find a reason why it still need to charge Rm1.50/hour of electricity use. I don't mind paying that but why? I am not a businessmen but this world is aiming everything in a win-win point of view. As a business owner, you should look into the ways to maximize your profit by fully utilizing your resource and always keep on providing value-added service to your customers! Business is all about money but if you cannot retain your customer, no matter how well you can cook or perform. You are still a loser!

Nelson Tan, a nice name you've given to yourself, your business sense is just like a leg-less bird! Flying sky high (business idea) without thinking on how to land and support yourself! Dream on Nelson, dream on!

At last, we went to Coffee Town. Each of us enjoy a set meal at the price of RM 3.50. 1 cup of White Coffee, 2 toasted bread and 2 half-boiled OMEGA eggs! Very worth it!!

After the KAMPACHI, been a long time never had a nice Japanese meal.

This Labor Day, I found a Japanese Dining restaurant nearby the Kepong Carrefour, and I went into it. ohoho2

The interior design is not a traditional type of Japanese restaurant, it has the modern looking Japanese style!

Look into the menu, I decided to order the Sukiyaki (RM 33). This is a beef dishes, the cute waitress told me that the cow was "born in Japan" but raise in Australia. hahaha

This Japanese Green Pea is F.O.C (Free of charge) because I redeem it with magazine coupon!

The Sukiyaki or if you want to call it Steambot... Fresh vegetable plus the reddish beef slices! It makes me more hungry even looking at it! But I do not know how to "cook" this... luckily the waitress is helpful enough to  help us to cook it. Hehe~~ shy

The soup is very tasty and hot (because it keeps boiling), the beef slices do not need to cook very long time because it is "thin"! After eating this Sukiyaki, I feel really worth it. Simply because this is not a dishes that the others amateur restaurant can serve.

I am still hungry after the Sukiyaki~~~ ono

Additional order, Soup Rice with Salmon Flake (RM 12)... In the menu, it stated this is a "true" Japanese menu, but very disappointed to me... It is too tasteless... wasted my money to try it! nooo

After all, I would recommend you to visit it for the Sukiyaki. Definitely, you will find something different there!

The map is here!

While I were organizing some photos for a new Japanese food blog. JobsDB.com daily job alert arrives into my mailbox. I checked some, discovered that is a Sales Manager post... I clicked into in and found this Waterboss Job Advertisement.

I am speechless when I see it... It stated in BOLD, "Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply. " . After I regain my conscious, I yelled "Kanasai" loudly in my brainless mind!

Elllooooo! Come on folks! Since when a manager or senior level of position is applicable by the fresh graduated and entry level of applicants? Please tell me this is a joke not a job!

Judging from the advertisement, definitely this company has a not-so-bright HR or they do give "chances" to every people who needs a job!

A Job Portal such as JobsDB.com, I urge you to re-consider about posting this kind of shit for the sake of money! You are putting the job market into a crisis. Not to forget, you totally trashed your reputation as a competitor to JobStreet.com. Spamming the market with this kind of advertisement is not going anywhere good. Certain level of quality measurement should be in place while posting jobs! Sooner or later, I can see some scam organizations looking for fresh graduates to be CEO of some companies!

The market is not good and the Job portal polluted it even worst!

To be honest, JobsDB.com is never be my choice of looking for jobs. As know, it has just confirmed that my decision is right! The job advertisements posted there are too sucks to read!

It is the tax paying month again!

This time, I found something new. The "novice" sit besides me successfully use an very identical way to exploit the application.

Yes! The Hasilnet website is showing the MSSQL connection string when there is an error! *I leave it for you to reproduce the error*

Below is the thing that I manage to do a screen shot on it. According to the file name, it is very likely the DigiCert module is not properly coded!

Seeing from the IP itself, it does not looks like public IP. Tried to connect via MSSQL Management Studio but no luck. Tried all the IPs listing in whois search still no luck. Perhaps the database is not allow remote connection!

If the database do not allow that, perhaps we can think a way to go in via [your hacking methods here]

So, that's what I can tell you. I am risking my blogger's life to share this information with you. You better make sure that you are EDUCATED enough to apply the information for EDUCATIONAL use only hahaha

Happy hunting!

。。happysigh

hahaha

The first PC fair for 2008 has started. I took my precious time to shop there! Last year was not bad!

I got a little disappointed this year! cry I did not manage to spot a lot of pretty girl... it still has some... but they did not manage to "urge" me for taking their photo... so this time don't have any photo... happysigh

I got a little annoyed because inside the PC fair, got a credit card agent approached me for application... I .... answer :"I am under age to be qualified as an applicant" hehe, that fellow's face turn black. Without a seconds, we were separated by the crowd.

Right before I left, I saw the MyCNX booth which I took the photo with the sword man last year! Without wasting anytime, I took 2 blurry photo. After that, another girl "hunt" me down... She come to me and say I am sweating, persuade me to buy a RM2 game CD with free gift! bigeye I reply, "I am 30 years old..." . She told I am lying and went away unhappily. hahaha

End of January 2008, we (my colleagues and me) went to Pavilion to have lunch again. Claimable from company! Why not spend it before others? xd

Still got Chinese New Year decorations! That day, Pak Lah was there... don't know what happen but damn many people!

The waiter of Crystal Jade Kitchen is really annoying, I would like to take a photo, but then she/he comes to stop me... damn damn "Kan Na Sai" ah! sigh

The interior design is not special... the dining set is just another typical type of weapon.

sigh

My colleague order Chicken Rice. As you look into it... you still want to try it? It was too dried... not nice at all. sigh

This is the Little Prawn Fried Noodle which I order for that day, this has no different compare to the street hawker stall... only this one was made fresh...

Yes! This Roasted Chicken Noodle is not bad. The presentation, taste and price is above the par! hahaha

We ordered some side dishes but the taste ... one word "bad"

This lunch cost RM223... freaking expensive le!! Luckily it is claimable from Company, else I will be vomitting blood for this kind of food.

My rating for this, 5 points max.

All Malaysian know him because of his intelligent level. People hates him because he is dropping the overall intelligence of Malaysian...

Someday ago, a colleague send me a wikipedia link which I did not bother to check because it is having Khairy Jamaluddin as part of the address. After a while, he was laughing and urge me to visit it.

I browse into it and laugh out loud. His background "stories" is very interesting hahaha

This is what I see xd

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Do you still remember me? ~ ~

Yes! No one will forget Edison Chen.

I seem to have become "adult art" information center. . . Whenever a similar time of the incident, the friends have asked me immediately, "Where can I see it?"

Oh, I really do not understand why this can be happen. . . Want to see a photo, go http://thegutterpost.blogspot.com . Definitely Not Safe For Work!

Edison Chen is not a man but rubbish. Although you admit it, but you do not have the courage to take responsibility.

As a man, you have the responsibility to explain things clearly.

Although the community will not forgive, but as a man, you take the greatest responsibility on your own fault!

Last but not least, I despise this kind of people! ! !

Fact #1 : Clients can be really good when you really make things happen for them!

Two days ago, I was extremely happy and feeling great because one of my biggest client run to my desk and ask me.

"Hey KokMing, how many resources you are under?".

My response was like 3 seconds pause and I ask "Labor or tools? Why?".

He reply "Labor. How many people you need?".

Without a second thought, my answer shot out from my mouth "2".

He smile at me and say "I will ask that for you.". After that, he straight away walk into the General Manager's room and I yelled "Thank you!"...

Perhaps this is not a very interesting conversation but I feel so good.

Have your client ever taking their own initiative to help you request for resources? This is definitely never happen on me during my previous careers.

Besides that, he is the one who brought my team to KAMPACHI @ PAVILION

Honestly, he impressed me very much. He do rewards and takes the initiative to solve my problem as I solved his problems! I like this management style and I respect him very much.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Fact #2: Boss can be really n00b. He doesn't know who is working for him.

Let's read my blog disclaimer before you proceed.

I have a chat with my Australian boss this afternoon. He asked me how's my team doing. This is the 3rd time he ask me the same question for 2 days. I just don't know how to answer. Obviously, he should know how my team doing via the reports I submitted to him. I don't know what he trying to "hint" or which direction he wanted to lead me into...

So my answer is somewhat silly. "They are doing good but depends..."

Hey! What I can answer? He knows one of my team member is leaving the team. Soon I will have 3 people work for 7 peoples load!

Every one knows my team is currently under intense pressure. Yet, he still ask me why I let so much of pressure went through the developers (team member).

Ok... Put aside my negative comments. Let's see what he had done to "re-assure" me.

He gave a few advices to me.

1. When a worker cannot do the work as you ask them to do. Perhaps you don't keep asking them to do that but assign another job to him/her.

Brilliant suggestion. I agreed. Simply because assigning an important task to the wrong person is going to fail yourself miserably.

I did reassign another job to the "incompetent" worker but he/she still failed me. Should I ask for a new project so I can train/coach him/her up?

Question... Since I am running low on resources. If I can apply the above approach then what about the existing tasks which he never enlighten me how to settle it with nobody...  Seriously. I liked this kind of idea which looks inspiring but empty!

2. If you are a good leader, you should know how to manage pressure. But why your members are under pressure and leaving?

Ok. I remain silent for this. I admit I am not a good leader but the one who speak this sentence is nothing better than me too. To be honest, IF you do not pass any pressure to me. How on earth I can generate or create any pressure out of no where? When you point a finger to someone, there is always more fingers pointing back to yourself.

3. When your team is at full capacity / fully occupied. All you do is to tell the client that they have to wait or go away.

Yeah! That's the way. Perhaps in Australia, this is the real way to do the business but in Malaysia, thing goes the other way round. If you do that, I can "guarantee" you that your business is not going to look good.

Back to the actual scenario, if I have ever reject or decline any request from my biggest client. Do you think I will still own a seat within the company? Perhaps I failed in term of project/team management but I do not feel ashamed because I did my best. It is better than the others who is unwilling to take up the challenge and run away, right?

4. I don't expect your team to be 3 members only. We are targeting to expand this division to house 100 people. By that time, you will have professional like Business Analyst, Project Manager and etc to face the client for you. Blah blah blah... ....

An impressive business expansion and planning. But he never mention when I will get extra headcount to do the existing tasks. Furthermore, he promise nothing.

The discussion with him last 30 minutes. Basically, he just keep asking me "Any question?" since the 5th minutes. The rest of 25 minutes spent to answer my questions without a clear direction... This "re-assure" me on how much I can rely on him ... I do not mean I am unhappy but again, I need a reliable boss to back me up while I am facing the troubles and problems only!

If I am suppose to care about my team, then he is suppose to care about me... To be honest, I feel NO care at all. Case closed. Full stop. Good night!

Ok! I know you guys missing my food blog very much!

I miss you as much as you miss my food blog!

Last Friday, my Australian boss came to Malaysia. As usual, we are "fully utilizing" the company fund to have a team lunch at this Nerovivo restaurant! It serves expensive Italian food... For me, I would not try it if I have to pay my own bill. Hee Hee Hee.

See this menu... Isn't it quite "reasonable"? xd

Something to fill up the stomach before the main course arrive... That is the most expensive mineral water that I ever tasted...

This is what I ordered! Norwegian Salmon! Well, it is tasty but not really as good as to make me order for another time. As most western food, the salmon was overcooked, but the sauce was nice. Overall is not too bad happysigh

This is the codd fish? Hm... I forgot the spelling... My English is too sucks... I tasted a piece from my colleague's plate shy It taste better than my salmon...

Finally we are 6 men sharing 3 plates of desserts... hahaha Although sharing these with another 5 guys but it still taste SWEET! ohoho2

As usual, the female colleagues over ordered and did not manage some plates... Men got extra food at last. All stuffed back to office! full

Yo! It seems that this time has come. It is the end of year 2007.

This year is totally out of my expectation. I mean career wise. From a company director turn into a hikikomori. Finally got a job as a Team Leader. Although this is not a highest title but it gives me some satisfaction which I have the chance to deal with world-class player in IT sector namely the H.P. and Microsoft. It is definitely recovering... I am regaining the lost land too. Seriously, it will take some times for me to get myself back on track.

Other than that, the trip to Bali is really unforgettable. A very nice and memorable trip!

This blog has gained 10 times of visitors grow. From the starting of 90 visits / month. It turn up 900 - 1200 visits /month. Simply amazing. Give yourself a clap for checking this blog often although it has nothing impressive to read on... shy

Looking backwards, I did a few silly mistakes but a lot of wise choices. Regardless how good or bad the impact, I am still struggling. Staying alive to kick more asses!

You know what?! The last "kiasu" thing I did in year 2007 is go to the petrol station to pump my oil-tank to max! Yes! MAX! Some said petrol price will raise for 40cents, some said 50 cents, one said RM1.00... So... I joined the kiasu army and queue for full tank petrol which is 13 liters.

How I walk-through year 2007 to year 2008? Staying at home, doing office reports and coding... I am the most hardworking people! Please praise me!! xd

Nothing much to bore you again. If you have any interesting story, please post here or a link to your blog! I want to read that :-)

Happy New Year, My friends!

xd

Two weeks ago, we (me and my family) went to New Beggars Delicious restaurant to eat Beggar Chicken. What is Beggar Chicken? It is a Chinese dishes, details found here! This restaurant located somewhere in Selangor... If I tell you the exact address, you won't get it... bring you there also too far. It is located inside some kind of oil palm estate. xd

。。 beg

Looks what I've found here?! It is the popular J.CO Donut! (Box only...) The donuts really taste so great? I likes chocolate donut very much, I tried this J.CO Donut too, but I don't feel it is really a great taste and it can't make me to repeatedly purchase for it... Possibly because it is so famous, I set a high "passing" mark for it while I taste it... beg

Back to the story, this restaurant is not selling Beggars Chicken only, it has many others dishes too.

These are the food ordered that day. Got Prawn, Beggars Chicken, Pork hand(Knuckle) and Stick Rice (and a soup(pork stomach?), not in the photo) . ***Chicken, Pork Hand and Sticky Rice are the dishes where you needs to book at least a day in advance***

Beggers Chicken, the herb taste strong, tasty but the meat is not very nice... it is not smooth enough, lacking the "biting" feel. (For RM32... this is still OK la...)

Prawn, this taste great, fresh prawn from the fisher village, perhaps? The cooking apply to this dish is very nice. The only lacking for this is the serving quantity is too little... 1 people 1 prawn... charging RM40 per dish... it is too expensive to eat! circle

。。)goodjob

Sticky Rice. This can be the real RICH and luxury sticky rice with a lot of fillings inside. Two words to say it all, "Ho Jiak!" (RM32 per dish...) goodjob

Pork Hand (knuckle), can you see that? The outlook is so tempting , the meats is melting inside your mouth without much chewing, I ate quite a few pieces of it too! shy

onr

Soup, without the luxury outlook, without the tempting scent, but the taste is just good. You should try it! onr

full This meal cost RM180... freaking expensive ah! If you are buying me this for lunch/dinner, I will lead you there! Ok?

2007, December 13th, Thursday, the contact center manager brought me and my team member to Kampachi at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for a lunch. You must must screaming "Wah~~~ Eat high class Japanese food for lunch?!" Heh Heh. He bought us the lunch because we managed to settle his troubles with our dedication... Not to forget that, in order to accomplish the mission, I had to work on weekends, stay overnight in office for deadlines... this lunch really contains "blood" and "sweat"!

Once we entered Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, in front of us, it is a Huge Christmas tree lightning decoration! This has fully demonstrated trendy yet outstanding faces of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur!

shy

KAMPACHI is a high class Japanese restaurant located at sixth floor. The interior design and decoration is really not bad. To be frank, this is my first visit to such high class restaurant for lunch. shy

The food serves here is really has a "value"! A cup of green-tea cost RM12... Although it is bottom-less but this is still a "valuable" drink.

Come, my friend! Let's talk about the food. Unagi sushi, taste good. Compare to those chained sushi outlets, this is definitely better!

We ordered a few bento. The one showing below is the quite expensive bento cost RM58. (I forgot the name...)

This is the bento that I had. Tokyo Bento is the name. It cost RM38, from the appreance, you can see this is a high class type of food. Have you notice the Sashimi in wonderful colors? It is very nice, it melts directly without chewing! Unlike the others, this sashimi does not has any "raw" taste yet it gives your mouth a high satisfaction for eating that! Overall, I still think tat that food is costly...

。。cry

Next, this is the bento that I feel very worth to try. It has SOBA, RICE and UNAGI. I am not sure about the taste... because I did not order this... cry

sweat

UNAGI bento... this looks good but I believe if I ate this, I won't feel full. The serving portion is too litle. sweat

。。happysigh

The desserts is Green-Tea Ice Cream. Nothing special, no surprise... happysigh

Before we head back to office, got people singing on the Christmas tree! Without a second thought, I took these photos. Once a year chance. Haha! hahaha

xd

In conclusion, KAMPACHI's surroundings and food are really better than the others, but with this price, I don't think I will fork out my own money to visit it again xd

A blink of eye, it is the end for year 2007. The PC Fair has comes again! This is a big event for Malaysia I.T. industry. Regardless you are a I.T. Professional or businessmen, you will go there for a walk. Last year, I just started this blog, I bought my Samsung 932B LCD and blogged about it, I said that I will post some pretty booth girls/babes photo for you during the next visit to PC Fair... After a year. Finally I got the chance to realize my promise to you! xd

In order to avoid the crowded situation and make myself some "space" for photography, I departed at early morning. Who knows everyone seems like having the same mind, at 11:30A.M. it is already "people mountain people sea" / crowded already... Although, this PC Fair is not as awesome as before, but it is still attracted many people, especially the bloggers, I saw a lot of camera crew shooting here and there, from the model's face, I can feel that they are very boring with it already. Haha!! ohoho1

Without wasting your precious time, I shall present the photo to you!

Sony's Booth Babes really looks alike its laptop! It is not only outstanding but awesome! Angel and Devil, both also very pretty! bigeye

Samsung's theme did surprise me quite a bit! If all the policewomen looks like this, please fast fast come to catch me!  Hehe. e

Toshiba

Next is Toshiba. Although it has no theme, but her gorgeous looking covers up everything.

。。 shy

PenDrive's theme is something about Greek Legend? should be like that... shy

Haha! This is not a girl but stylish! A very huge sword oh! After I took a photo for him, he asked me whether or not to take a photo with him! Of course I want! Haha! This online game, this cosplay staff's working attitude or professionalism is really not bad!! Worth a praise or two!! :good:

。。shy

This is another girl from another online game. I forgot the name of the game... shy

Ah~~~! Almost at the end of the happy hours, its time to say byebye! I've done my best to present the photo to you. Next time, I will bring another photography freak with me! I want to take photo with those models. Not too demanding, right? Haha!

Please allow me make it clear, all of the participant performed their best in order to have this successful event. If the photo is not nice, definitely is my fault. I admit it... Almost all photo are Out-focus. Kind criticisms and suggestions are more than welcome. Bad critics and feedbacks are better not to say. Else, I will ask the Intel Rocket Man send you to the outer space! or I will let the little statue to pee on you oh~~~~

I laugh while reading this funny+enjoyable+not_too_surprise news. After a laugh, I start to become sad. It is because this BOLEH-land has once again drop my intelligence level as a Malaysian. I am PWN to be a Malaysian...

Let's see how effective on stopping piracy by "jailing" Internet users who is doing "illegal" download.

First, how to define "illegal" download? Who can judge it? For years, I still have not see any BSA officer goes into a home user for anti-piracy action.

Second, are you (the government) going to send an army to arrest somebody who is really committed the above crime? RM 250K is not cheap! Up to 10 years jail is consider a very serious offense too. As compare to a armed robbery will only get 5 years jail/case if caught, so 10 years is some what serious. You know... You better robbed for money rather than downloads. It is because you still have to pay to the ISP for connection!

Third, do you have the JAIL spaces for the Internet surfer population? I seriously doubt that. I definitely not going to pay and will not admit I downloaded anything... So, you better take away my computer. I can spend another few thousands to get a new one shortly.

Let me share it with you. Malaysia is not the first country started this joke. So far, I have not see any country that had succeeded in catching this type of "criminal".

But please listen to me. After the publication of this lousy news/warning. I believe some evil minded fellow will start inter-personate the government officer identity and run into your house for a "check" then ask for the coffee-money!

You do not need to tell me whether or not you have any illegal downloads. I am very sure that everybody has some! However, it is not a crime... you know? I am not sure whether or not that I am correct. As long as you are not using the downloaded material for commercial use or make any profit from it. You are safe... or at least they can't put all the blame to you.

Last but not least, IF they can track down the user... Why TMNET don't ban the selected users account but apply throttling technique? Something fishy here... Think again, if the country is really good and the mentality is real high. I don't think piracy is a problem or CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!

Happy downloading!

Hey folks! Welcome back!

I know that you miss me so much so I am sorry for not doing any update lately... My current job's work-load start hunting me badly. I got some spare time at home but no idea on what to write. Simply because my mind is tired.

Back to the story!

Some days ago, I received a mail from Google Adsense! Yes! It mail me. No! It is not the legendary pay-check.

I just felt very happy to receive it although it is not a pay-check! I believe I am happy because I am a Google's fan. Even though nothing worth to blog but I still want to show you the envelop+letter from Google Adsense!

Last week, the company had organized a trip to Port Dickson for the sake of team building. Yes! Team building.

When we talk about Port Dickson, it must be related to beach and seaside camp fire BBQ! Unfortunately, the resort did not have a beach... furthermore, we don't have a BBQ session too... quite disappointed. But what to complaint? It don't cost a cent! Haha!

This is the food that the resort provided. Definitely not tasty but no choice...

The camera crew... I would love to have cheer-leader team rather than this... Haha!

See me? Go kart only! Take it easy! (It is actually harder to control than you can imagine...)

The next morning, we went to the Blue Lagoon beach. The beach is just ugly. Rubbish everywhere...

The first photo, I would love to take the flare but I failed... It is actually very tiring to do so and I scare that will spoil my camera len so I did not try until success. The second photo failed too... I wanted to take down the photo with the feeling of "good weather" and "nice coconut tree"... ehhh you know what I want to say. Haha!

Yeah! Seafood lunch before we happily end the trip. The coconut is not picked from the tree, ok? hehe. Did you see C.R.A.B ? Oh well, it did not taste as good as it looks...

That's it for the trip. I taken a lot of photo but mostly with some human faces inside. It is not nice to publish here so I skip it.

RM4.50 一碗。

Last weekend, the current company that I am working in, organized a Port Dickson trip. The purpose of the trip is about team building. Yeah! Team building...

Before we depart to P.D. We went to eat porridge breakfast at Petaling Street. My colleague recommends us to try out the "Shang Yu" / raw fish porridge, so without thinking twice, I picked the recommended dishes!

I got a little surprise when the porridge served on the table. It is really comes with RAW fish! Haha!

To eat this, you have to put the raw fish meat/slices into the hot porridge and let the porridge heat to cook the fish. This is a very special porridge that I had ever tried. xd

The fish meat devour inside your mouth like a melting chocolate, eat with the hot and smooth porridge, it makes up a good combination! (The fish meat must be cooked. It is because it taste really raw if you take it without throwing it into the porridge...)

RM4.50 one big bowl. The location of this stall is opposite the Petaling Street "Qing Bo Leong" herbal tea stall! (Direct translation rocks!!)

Check this out!

After watching this entertaining video. Suddenly, I think I found something. Something that seems to be hidden but shinny like a diamond...

The Malaysia Information Minister speaks like that... behave worst than any other... furthermore it is clearly shown that his EQ is only 5 years old or he is a monkey!

You know why we always have outdated and false information/news/headlines ? With this kind of mofo controlling the Information Department... Can you imagine that he can do a good work?

Democracy? Yes! The party who selected this person to be a minister is really some democrats with their own style... How can he hold such an important seat while he can't comprehend himself with an International language?

Fair election?! My a$$! Even this mofo can become a minister, how to spell F.A.I.R.?

Please go back to school and keep doing your own eRection, please!

I am proud to be a Malaysian. I would invite God and Satan to take Malaysia citizenship if they exists in somewhere near me.

Thanks to the local news media and the government hardcore censorship, majority of Malaysians do not know about the Bersih Rally. Yes! I am one of it ... even though someone invite me via email... ehhh I thought it was a spam so I did not pay much attention.

So what is Bersih Rally? It is an Corruption Free and Fair Election protest. Well, as least this is what I heard. Correct me if I am wrong. Check out the video before you enjoy my writing.

Ok. Don't waste time. Let's be straight forward. I do not understand why you need to protest something that you can't undone it. You start to protest after 50 years of country independent or so called "democracy"(in a monopoly way) ? Or you start to support a Fair Election after being a homosexual better man? Come on! We all know that nothing is clean. Clean do not exist in Malaysia.

By submitting a memorandum, you believe things will change? I admit that at least you did you best! Well done Malaysian! Question again... Do you think by submitting it to AGUNG (the king) will really help? Ask yourself, you know the answer a lot more better than me. In my mind, AGUNG is the person who gives you 1 day holiday when he go to heaven! Yeah! All people love old AGUNG for that... (I know you always shouting "I Love you but please ***"). I dare not to write the *** for you because anything can happen on Malaysian especially blogger.

Government keep saying this won't be a peaceful rally. Yes, I totally agreed with the government. By looking at the chemical shooting gun and the club-crushing police. It is so truth that is not a peaceful rally! Don't you agree? Now the government is laughing because they warned you already... but you still go out to "abused" yourself... After all, your effort is really remarkable though... I am serious. I respect all participants! Salute!

Bersih is a Malay word which mean Clean.

Bersih Rally can make the election Bersih Really? I seriously doubt it. Inspecting those phantom voters, "mis-calculations" and etc known issues. I seriously doubt we are on the right track of Bersih Rally. You guys impressed me with your first step but what next?

I don't wish to comment more on the Bersih Rally because thousands of blogger did that already. I want to give my highest respect for all the participants of Bersih Rally. You know it is not easy but you still went there! You are the future on Malaysia! (I will send you to space! but wait~~... this is kidding only lah)

I don't want a fair election! I want a true democratic election! Please vote to whom that can guarantee you a better future.

I will cast my vote to the party or person who can do these:

1. Make Malay really same as other races! I want it FAIR now! For the sake of BALANCE!

2. Kick Samivellu out or sub all the government projects into my bank account!

3. Enforce all employers (public, private, non-profit organization and etc) to adjust the salary package when petrol, rice, flour, raw material, living necessities and etc raise price!

4. Stop all stupid actions like space-traveler, water leaking buildings, multi-billions dollars project canceled with nothing done but money paid and etc.

5. Respect the citizen as part of the country!

A lot more to say but I leave it to

you.

Happy Bersih Rallying!

Today is Saturday, awaken by office phone calls at 5 A.M. It is clearly stated 5-days work, but it is continuously a few weekends that my weekend got disturbed... furthermore the timing is damn early... Haih~~~

Back to the story, Recently, a lot of restaurants opens in Kepong. Le Classic happens to be one of them. The interior design is simple, uses a lot of plants to decorate it but the display impact is kind of below the par...  The variety of foods still ok, got set lunch, suitable for me. Haha!

Ordered Japanese Style Chicken Rice and Curry Fish Slices Rice.

Japanese Style Chicken Rice taste  not too special but not bad either, it is like most of the others Japanese BBQ cooked Chicken lo... It is remarkable that this restaurant serve this with fried rice instead of normal steam rice. At least it worth the price!

Curry Fish Slices Rice tastes good for all. It is not spicy but still very good to consume it with steam rice. But still the same old sentence, "The rice is too little!!!" Haha! The portion of curry really satisfy me, can you see that bowl? Looks like the beggar's bowl?

This is the almighty Mr. Panda... The eye pack is bigger than the eyes. Who can help me ah???

Its a rainy day, cannot take a clear front shop view. If you want to pay a visit, please refer to the GoogleMap. Set lunch at RM 9.90 each.

I give 5 points out of 10. (You see this is so boring and non-descriptive, it means really nothing special about this restaurant la.)

Have you ever stumped at a point where you ask yourself "To further study or not"? I believe most people did. Yes, including me.

First of all, for what makes you think about this question? You should ask yourself, what is your ultimate goal or aim for further study.

Some people will answer for money, higher working position, better future, qualifications, knowledge and "they don't know".

Ok. Real story...

A few of my junior colleagues asked me this question before. They seek my advice on whether or not to further study like taking a few technology certificates, acquire the Master degree or some other money-sucking courses.

My answer to them is "Yes, go ahead if you are aiming for the knowledge. But please think twice if you are going after other aims."

It is very simple question but people just do not know about themselves. Let me say something realistic to you.

Study for better salary package - Idiot! Have you ever see a company promote or increase your pay due to the study that fund by yourself? Hell No. I have not found any company is rewarding like that. If you do, by all means, please tell me only! LoL.

Study for higher job title/position -  Ok. I do agree that if you are a fresh graduates or someone don't have a degree. A degree seems like the lowest qualification for the entry level job in the global market now. If you don't have one, you are losing a great advantage no matter how many years of experience you have. However, the story may turn-around if you are looking for a senior position. When it comes to senior, it means experiences, to be precise that is practical experiences, this is something that do not show inside your certificate... I does not mean only old folks can sit on top of the organization chart but practical experiences is the keyword here.

Study for better future - Well, you tell me what future you want? How to classify a better future? Most important, are you sure that little piece of paper can guarantee you a better future? No way. Get real! Don't dream!!

Study for qualification - Yeah, qualifications do give you certain among of respect and recognition. But please be sure that you are going for a right qualification rather than end up being another MCP (Microsoft Certified Payer) or other terms that you know...

Study for knowledge - YES! Please do! If the knowledge is what you wanted to acquire, please go for it. I encourage you to study for the sake of knowledge.

You can find an interesting article here.

Personally, I don't feel like study anymore. I am not saying that I refused to study for more knowledge. But I do have another point of view where I choose to "learn". So what's the different between study and learn? Yes. I see the difference but I doubt you can define it. I am learning everyday but I am not studying anymore...

I found that the Malaysia education style is totally incorrect! They teach you how to study like a student but they failed to guide you on how to learn... That is why you see most people never learn! Yeah, it is not entirely your fault but you have the responsibilities to correct it. So you won't be another pig! Same story goes to some 1st class degree graduates unable to perform well at work simply because not all of the solutions can be found in text books or Google. We need to learn then apply it into what we are doing.

Often, people shouting they have no chance to learn for example the lecturer sucks, the computer(study material) too lousy, the employer not giving chances, work too busy and etc. Folks, please stop giving yourself any reason for not learning well. Please open up your eyes, your ears and your mind. To learn, you must open the path by yourself! You can't wait for something to clear your front path and lead you all the way!! You must make the first move before hoping for others help.

Seriously, I don't really know how many people will understand the points of this blog but I do hope that I manage to open up a few brilliant minds. I hopes!

Happy learning~

Last Sunday,my family went to the TaiTong Restaurant located in Wisma Selangor Dredging building, just to try out the Dim Sum Buffet! It sounds so nice... a Dim Sum Bugger, its really "LITTLE HEART" (a.k.a. Dim Sum) buffet! In this so called Dim Sum buffet, the Dim Sum selections is damn little (only 1 Dim Sum trolley, furthermore you need to wait for its " Dim Sum release")... I did not manage to take that "macho" trolley... I felt like I am being cheated. It cost me RM30/headcount, very beli expensive with this "much" of food offered. Luckily, I did not go with empty hands, I have RM 150 voucher with me! Yeah! Voucher rocks!

I don't understand, why they still put those cheapskate fried rice, fried noodles, curry chicken and TeowChew porridge? All I want is DIM SUM only!!! All of you, the Malaysia Restaurant Owners, please conduct your business with more conscience, ok? Dim Sum buffet did not focus on DIM SUM. I really do not understand... with this many customers, still worry about net-loss??

These two photos is the main dishes for the whole buffet... still got a Dim Sum trolley and a table of desserts... but it is too shameful to see, so I did not take any photo for you because I will be ashamed of that if I ever take one...

I uses the Cow power and Tiger energy to take these much of Dim Sum... It really contains blood and sweat ahhhhhhhhh!!

Although the dishes below did not well-display, but these are the more delicious food among all available!

Fried radish cake, crispy skin, soft and chewy fillings, full of radish scent, this really makes me feel that the most ordinary things is the most delicious food!

The fresh Shrimp dumplings and SharkFin dumplings, taste good and makes you want to eat more!

The next is Char Siew! Yes! This Char Siew is really not bad, although it is not as tasty are the Char Siew I ate before, but the BBQ stick style of serving, 1 time 1 stick, satisfying your desire till the max!!

If you want to eat then refer to the map. I don't encourage you to eat this because it is too pricey considering the food served...

Finally, Andot has come out a customized version of WM6 ROM for HTC Tornado Device. Yes! My Dopod 577W is HTC Tornado Device. I grabbed a copy but holyshit! I do not know how to flush it into my Dopod 577W because it is not an executable format... A big tragedy to me because I have to spend another few hours to Google about how to flush the ROM.

I must tell you that this world is very fair! There is no free-lunch in this world. I spend almost 3 hours in Google and type not less than 100 search keywords but I get nothing! Finally, I give up on search for a total reference but to learn how to flush my Dopod 577W on how to use the utilities! After an hour, I succeeded. It took me a lot of courage and very high risk to do that. It seems the Lucky Goddess is always smiling at me, so I get it done in 1 round. LoL. I am damn proud of myself!

Now I am going to teach you How To Flush Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 into DOPOD 577W or HTC Tornado Device. Please allow me to make a few declarations here.

1. All the tools that I am using in this guide comes with no warranty or guarantee, use it at your own risk.

2. The Windows Mobiles ROM that I used is an unofficial release from this PRO! So... use it at your own risk!

3. Please don't come to me if you fail.

4. Read the whole article before you take any action! Ensure you understand and know how to do it right!

Download the tools and ROM below if you want to flush your device based on my guide.

1. Tools  (Download it and extract into a folder, you will need to use it soon!)

2. Andot's Windows Mobile 6 for Tornado Perfect English Edition Released!

There are 11 steps involved

Step 1 - Preparation

Step 2 - Application Unlock

Step 3 - SuperCID - install cert.cab on phone

Step 4 - SuperCID - Patching the ROM

Step 5 - Disable USB Connection

Step 6 - Access the Bootloader

Step 7 - Format BINFS via TeraTermPro

Step 8 - Enable USB Connection

Step 9 - Running the GSM update

Step 10 - Running the OS update

Step 11 - Installing input method (optional)

Step 1 - Preparation

Please get all the tools and ROM ready. Kindly install Mircosoft Active Sync 4.5 or above. Connect your device via USB.

** Make sure you are using a HTC Tornado device, it is also known as Dopod 577W, Qtek 8300, Qtek 8310, Imate SP5, I-mate SP5m and Orange SPV C600. Ensure that your battery is charged up to at least 50%.

Step 2 - Application Unlock

Now, look into the folder with you extracted the Tools. Open the SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe and click Remove Lock button. The purpose this is to ensure that you can install any unsigned 3rd party application (which is the tool needed to SuperCID in the next step) . If your device is already application unlock, you can skip this step. But it is no harm to do it again...

Step 3 - SuperCID - install cert.cab on phone

If your device is patched with SuperCID, you can skip this step and proceed to Step 4, if you have no idea what is SuperCID, you can do it again. First, locate the SPV Services inside the tools folder. This is the software to do  SuperCID. Extract it to a folder, let's say on a desktop. You will see three files in it. Cert.cab , TyphoonNBFTools.dll and SPV-services.exe. Copy cert.cab to any location on your smartphone and install it.

Step 4 - SuperCID - Patching the ROM

Now run SPVServices.exe which is located same folder with the Cert.cab, you should see this. RAPI Init was successful means that your ROM is ready to be patched with 16 bytes of data in order to allow it to be flushed with any ROM, by clicking on Set CID, your warranty is void. Stop here if you don't want to lose your warranty.

Step 5 - Disable USB Connection

Turn off your phone, detach the USB cable, and disable Microsoft Active Sync USB connection.

Open Microsoft Active Sync, click File -> Connection Settings -> Uncheck the allow USB connection

Step 6 - Access to the bootloader. During the phone is turned off, hold the camera button and attach the USB cable. Wait until a 3 colour screen appears, that is your bootloader screen.

Step 7 - Format BINFS via TeraTermPro

Now, please run the TeraTermPro inside the tools folder. Please select the USB port as connection type.

Type 'info 2' without the quotes. Then, hit Enter, this is what you will see a screen like this. Notice the HTCSuperCID on the output display.

Now, you are all set to go!

Type 'format BINFS' without the quotes. It is case sensitive, you must key-in the alphabet accordingly. Please type format BINFS and not format only because with Format only will erase your IPL and SPL which is your bootloader ... (if you did that... you are in deep shit!)

The HTCSuperCID means your device is SuperCID and it can be flushed with any ROM, even though its not meant or could destroy your device. If you do not see HTCSuperCID, it means that you did not SuperCID properly, repeat Step 4. Once it is done, type 'ResetDevice'

Step 8 - Enable USB Connection

Now you are ready to flash your device. Please enable Microsoft ActiveSync USB connection, refer to Step 5.

Step 9 - Running the GSM update

Now locate the WM6GSMUpdate inside the Tools folder. Please run RomUpgradeUtility, you should see this screen.

Click "I understand . . ." and then click Next, then click  "I completed the steps. . .". Hit Next and it will verify your information.

After that click Update and watch as the meter moves on your device and your screen.

Do not attempt do anything silly now because your IPL, SPL and Radio are being patched now. Anything unexpected(for example power loss, USB cable detached, and etc) which happen could render your device useless. This process will be fast enough, around 2 minutes. Once it is done, it will reboot by itself and you will be returned to the bootloader screen.

Step 10 - Running the OS update

While you are in the bootloader screen, extract Andot's V6 Perfect English Edition Windows Mobile 6 for HTC Tornado  and the rest is pretty similar to the Step 9. Run ROMUpgradeUtility which in inside the Windows Mobile  6.0 ROM folder, you will see the same RUU screen, do the same thing and upgrade. But this time ,you are installing Windows Mobile 6. This process takes time, around 10 minutes will pause for some times at 99%, just be patient. Once you are done, your device will reboot once again but this time, your device will be loading Windows Mobile 6!

Welcome to the new world of Microsoft Windows Mobile 6!!!

Step 11 - Installing input method (optional)

The Windows Mobile 6.0 that you just installed do not have the T9 English input method. You can find it under the Tools folder and install it by yourself.

Leave your message if you have any question.

Happy Upgrading~!

For ages, from single cell to monkey, monkey to human. Human claims the most civilized creatures spot in the world chart.

Do you really think so? Do you trust that the other creatures live besides us has no objection to this? Being the largest population species in the world. We are definitely dominating this earth. Although we are huge in quantity but our mind seems to be constrained by limited nature of life. That's what form our mindset which is limited by the world's logic!

Some days ago, David talked about his ex-colleague_closed buddy bad things... Yeah! What we usually talk? That's other people bad's stuff. We enjoy laughing at people's miserable days very much grin

Story started with his buddy's subordinate has a Mr. Impossible where he tends to make everything impossible... Even simple or silly thing is still impossible before trying it out! hit1

You see? Human mindset is really a matter to this issue that needed to be addressed. I would not say that "If you think you can, you can!" but at least you have to "Try your best before saying can not". That's reasonable, right?

How the hell you know that is impossible by "looking/thinking" only? 500 years ago, human never dare to dream about flying on the sky! Now? Everyone can fly with cheap price, furthermore we are going to the outer space too! It is clear that "Dreams are possible but human make it impossible"! Besides Mr. Impossible's mindset, he has influenced the others to be part of the impossible team too. That's the havoc! If you can't do it, please do not stop other people trying it out! Ohhh gosh! I wish David's ex-colleague_closed buddy can really do something to excel himself. namor

Another interesting story comes up when I met my friend yesterday. My friend is a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of a Mesdaq listed company. He shares his stories with me and we have a good laugh during our drinking session.

I skip the details because it is same old shit that the Project Manager stay too long inside his comfort-zone and refuse to take any new challenges. That project manager is living at his own utopia. We know that we are not heading that way. We are definitely exploring more unknown zone for the sake of keep growing!

For myself, I came from an environment where everything is a failure before you successfully completed it. Everything included ahead schedule tasks, cost-effective resources management and etc. Before you set the flag of success, everything is failure. You are liable for everything! No discount! Performance is everything but favoritism excluded all! That's China-Man style. Pay you 100% of salary but need you to show 200% of performance and 300% of responsibilities! So I trained to be positive, calm and reasonable... because I went through all those ridiculous situations until I finally realize the world is never fair but MINDSET equalized everything. glass

Last word from Kok mING. You do not need to have a very brilliant thinking but you must have a positive mindset to always stay competent!

Hey folks! Long time no see? or its a norm that you start to come here in weekly basis rather than daily? circle

Ah~ I got my hair cut today. As usual, pricey cutting but looks nice! ohoho1

Fast... very fast... time past without any sight. It is end of September 2007 already. nooo

First of all, my blog is not doing well... in terms of visitors count coldsweat Ya... I know my lazy ass caused that... I really need to spend more times to update more frequent!

Speaking of time, my new job killing up my times fast! The schedules is packed. The job started to be more demanding as it should. Soon to be overloaded but I am still good!

I were in a Mentoring Training 2 days ago. It was a great training where the trainer taught us on how to be a MENTOR in a structured way. glass

Haha! Holy shit! MENTORING is such a abstract subject but you can do it in a structured way... That's the charm of human's ability to turn something intangible into tangible subject with a 'value' on it. Cool, I must say! This is definitely a new thing for me to justify something never able to quantify, measure or present.

Again... this month salty and klesk started their career in a new place. Salty finally found her dream place to work xd . As well as klesk is enjoying the new job environment too. Opps. I know you have no interests to know about these two n00bs life but they are my loyal readers. So give face a little laaaaaa, ok? Haha. I still have a lot of loyal fans, don't be angry if your name is not here. I will do it next time! xd

My schedule for next month is fixed... packed with messes and shit-load of troubles. I want to blog about my thoughts on the few recent news but ... time...

Dudes! Be good and stay well until my next post.

Ciaoz.

Hi folks! Its been a long time since my last work-related blog with you. How ya doing there?

I started my new career for a month already! Time goes fast, I admit that I have not spend as much time as before into this blog... I am doing my best to gather the free time to blog a little too. he

Let's talk about my work place. I were amazed by the desktop computer! It comes with dual LCD monitor! Yes!! Two 17" LCD Monitor. It is not many companies out there can offer such luxuries, right? Other than that, the computer equips with 2GB RAM, a nice display card. More than enough to do some fancy actions.

Hold on! I still have a IP Phone from Cisco! Wow! This is really a nice phone. Fully network-compatible. I can access to it from my home computer (providing I log into the office VPN and start the phone client). This phone is nice because it can display the daily horoscopes and weather forecast. hahaha

Sorry dudes, I can't tell you much about my job because I signed a NDA (Non-disclosure Agreement) on everything related to the job... All I can say is, I am currently engaging with world-class computer equipments vendor. Yes! Finally, I stepped into the World-Class environment. This is the chance to prove myself! This is the place to perform my best to see whether or not I am at the world-class standard! Although, the tasks assigned to me contains very much of challenges but I am not an easy-to-give-up people before doing my best on it!

The most fruitful gain comes after great hard-work! I am planting the seed right now! Let's do the best for the day of harvest!

A few weeks ago, Shelly read about my Char Siew blog post. We started a food related conversation...

。。 sweat

If she is going to write a food blog, definitely she will fail miserably... It is because she sent me a big empty bowl to recommend this restaurant to me... sweat

But the Camp forest restaurant that we chat about is really nearby my house, it happens that I wanted to visit it for some times. After Shelly's recommendation, it raise my urge to maximum level.

Last Sunday night, home has no dinner, we departed to Camp Forest for dinner!

The theme of the restaurant is Forest, this is a very environment friendly restaurant, it only sells organic vegetables. At the bottom of each table, they burn the mosquito coil (Shieldtox), so the customer can enjoy the environment without being bitten by the mosquito! Not bad at all.

After going through the menu, we picked the Fish and Chip and Bak Kut Teh (white rice included). Judging from the outlook appearance of the food. It really cannot differentiate it is a vegetarian food! Very nice presentation!

Soup of the Bak Kut Teh taste very good compare to the Aeroplane Bak Kut Teh!! Its real, I did not lie to you! Without the meat as ingredient, still can make the food tasty as real, it is not a easy job at all!

The portion for Fish and Chip is more than enough for a person, this is a dish that can feed you full! Although the price is slightly higher compare to the real meat meal, but judging from the vegetarian food point of view and the size of it, it is already worth the price. Furthermore, it comes with dessert! What can we complaint?

The food are tasty! Friendly waiters!

Price as below:

(Fish and Chip) - RM17.90

(Bak Kut Teh) - RM 7.90

Other than that, this restaurant got sell the Chocolate Fondue (without ice cream)... ... The last photo is taken for fun, but it is the most clear photo for the night... The photo about food and venue is still below the par...

Aih~~~ still need to further explore the feature of my new camera.

The map is as below... From Google Earth. Get the coordinate and see it yourself  xd

PS: Bi-lingual post just because of Shelly is involved and she cannot read Mandarin... So... you see a post like this xd

Some weeks ago, Khang asked me whether or not to join their forum gathering at Bukit Cahaya... I am not sure what are the activities but I got the urge to test my new toy so my answer to him is "Yes. If you have a seat for me." Hehe. I am too lazy to drive plus I really don't know where is Bukit Cahaya.

After that, I totally forgot about this "deal" until 2 days ago, Salty and Oreo came to Kepong Milwaukee to find Kepong F4 (we are actually F5 but we seldom get along) for drinks... Then they ask this question "Hey! Kok mING, are you going to join us for the Bukit Cahaya trip?" . Now, only I recall that is actually a "deal" previously. So I ask Khang for a friendly fetch but he needs to go milking fetch a girl. So I end up in White's car with Ryan!

At the very early morning, Ryan gave me a morning call. How sweet! Although I am ready and watching Astro before he calls me ...

After the breakfast with two of them. We straight away drive to Bukit Cahaya.

We grabbed the ticket, read the map, go in and rent a bicycle! Yes! BICYCLE! We are going to ride it! ... Huh?What?! I was not told that we need to ride... The last cycling that I did is like 8 years ago... At this point of time, I think of David! I need someone to tell me how to do a painless 3 hours ride... Please...

My bumblebee for the day!

After we walk-ride around 10 minutes... We take our first rest! Yes! 10 minutes. Just nice for a warm up... Check the photo... How to ride in a group? How happy to get a rest? and... Ryan's bicycle is the tall-type of mountain bike...

After that, we are on our own... no more waiting for group. Just follow the road and ride till the end... I take quite a lot of "pauses" to take some photos. Hehe. That's why I am so slow that day...

Can you tell me what is this kind of tree or fruit?

After like 1 hour ride. We reached the Cactus Garden... Pretty impressive where you see a lots of Cactus with flowers on top.

After wasting a lot of time, we go back to the starting point... just for the sake of visiting the fucking lousy Four Season House! It is the house where the workers will "decorate" it with certain season theme plus flowers according to the calendar month. The current theme is Spring. Ehhhh. Spring! Luckily it is not summer... Taken a lot of flowers, but due to the room light give not enough exposure to the photo. I am too lazy to edit it or to fake it... I post some "still" ok for you to see. If you want to go in there... My advice, please bring your food into it and have a picnic!

These are the other flower photos.

Lastly, we took off to have a Bak Kut Teh somewhere at Klang!

After a tiring Bukit Cahaya Cycling trip. We went exhausted, hungry and P.A.I.N.! Every one is so hungry and needed the food to recover the lost energy. Haha.

So we headed to a Bak Kut Teh @ Klang. I don't know where is the exact location but Klang! See the photo xd

See the shop name? Aeroplane Dry Bak Kut Teh! ... Don't ask me what is the FISH (blue character) means...

We are separated to 2 tables, orders 4 bowls (2 wet, 2 dry) for each table.

I enjoyed the dry pieces because it is very tasty and spicy. Hehe. The one with soup is quite ok but not as delicious as the one Ka-Ka Bak Kut Teh nearby my house... 8 people on table and eaten RM 68.00. The price is not expensive but the portion served is kinda little. Haha. I am the big eater! :-P

The future of computing is at your fingertips!

What is Microsoft Surface? It is a coffee-table looks like computer!

So what? What is so great about this coffee-table?

I would say this is another cutting-edge and state-of-the-art product from Microsoft. The table design is simple but very presentable. It equips with a glass top, where you can see it looks like normal glass. It is a big touch screen! It can detect your mobile phone when you place it on top (perhaps this is a blue-tooth connection, where you needs to synchronize it for first time...) .

I found it real cool because of the creativity! Right now, it can pull out your multimedia files and edit it via the "Surface". You can draw anything on it. You can play your favorite movies with it too! In future, perhaps you can place your coffee order via the table: xd

Maybe you can do this and that with it... Imagination leads to infinite creativity!

Find out more and enjoy the movie below.

As usual, we have to be caution about everything that Microsoft produced...

If I would place my mobile phone on top of it, what should I care most?  Yeah! That's my personal contacts and some "real" movie archives! shy2

I did not see any security features embedded into the product overview or explicitly stated else-where. Perhaps it will be a lot of bashing sessions on this topic but who cares? After all, it is still an innovative product goodjob

Happy Surfacing!

Yo yo yo~ Negaraku~~~ Negaraku~~KU. I am back from the MNR (Merdeka Naked Run). Hehe. I am kidding only. I have no energy to make a RUN.

Today is the 50th birthday of Malaysia. We (the beloved Malaysian) can enjoy a paid holiday! Yeah! That's cool!

Today, some people may celebrate for their past memories. Some people will celebrate for the holiday. Some will just follow the pace and shout "Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!" without knowing the meaning of shouting it!

I am the exceptional one. I do not really into the celebration mood. Simply because that's nothing to celebrate... Please do not confuse. I say nothing to celebrate but never say I do not appreciate the independence that our predecessors fought for us! I respect all the heroes and heroines from the bottom of my heart. I love Malaysia, this is a lovely land. But I dislike the people who are ruling it... They are disgusting, rotten piece of shit.

As a Malaysian, we are disallow to have racist or discriminations among races. However, our law clearly stated that the MALAY has specialities in almost-everything-you-can-tell. So, can I sue the Malaysia Law for once being a "racist"? Old issue? or Known issue? We knew it, we did not say anything does not mean we don't care about it or you continue to be the ignorance...

I did not own a flag or never make one for myself does not mean I am not a patriotic person. Simply because I do not do "surface" job to satisfy your visual orgasm. I love my country more than you can imagine but I do not like to show-off.

Sometimes, I blog and critic the politics does not mean I am challenging you. In the other way, you have to think about why people are criticizing you instead of supporting you. There must be a reason for people to start a topic or wrote a song.

I did my best to vote in the General Election but the results are disappointed. It shows that by my lonely self, I am unable to fight for what I think we deserves.

Here is the channel for free voices but you deny it. Here is the place for you to gather sincere voices but you never try to understand it. Here is the place for you to show you care about us but you show nothing...

Should I raise your flag inside my blog to say I love you? Come on! You see any blogger embed any flag into their blog for this very special Independent day? If you don't, perhaps you should start thinking... Malaysia is independent country, same goes to the citizens, they are as independent as Malaysia. You know what I mean. You succeed to define Malaysia as ONE, but you failed miserably to unite the souls!

Last word for this post...

I LOVE YOU BUT PLEASE DIE!!

70s, people bring in toilet paper to wipe their dirty ass.

80s, people bring in magazines or books to read. (for a longer session... to shit all out)

90s, people bring in mobile phone because they can't live without communication...

Today, people bring in PSP into the toilet... sweat

Yes! PSP! Am I sure? Yes! I cut my head if that is not a PSP! picknose

Opps... Actually, I did not see it because he is shitting... I am so sure that he is playing football games on his PSP! Did I hear he yell GOAL inside the toilet?! No, he didn't but his PSP did! xd

Come on! You can "focus" to play PSP games while you are sitting on top of the toilet bowl and doing your best to shit? Haha. I don't really know how to explain this feeling to you. Perhaps I am old-fashioned folks who cannot do more than 1 things at a time...

Perhaps in future, we will see people bring in laptops for MSN and cam-whoring while they are shitting... yes

So, can you tell me what is the thing that you will bring into the toilet? onr

Yeah! While everyone guessing on why I did not online at night or how Kok mING manage to live without computer at night...

I started the new job! In a multi-national company... I met a lot of new friends! Yes! Finally The_One hikky manage to get some friends!

Long story short say! (I will tell you more stuffs about the job later)

Second working day, we have a group dinner at California Pizza KItchen, KLCC. Yeah! As you can see from the photo, we are huge group! The waitress is so happy to see us walking into the restaurant! Big business, uh?

We have a lot of fun over there! Especially some chit chat sessions to know each other better! I am not the only new one over there. But... I am the newest one... They are friendly, some are very talkative and playful as well. It is a nice group of people. Let me say this before your request, please do not ask me to introduce the girls to you. LoL. Single but not available ... okay?

Derive from the title, you must be expecting a food blog.

Yes! This is about food but I do not have a camera to shot the nice food... I tell you, the foods are delicious, definitely taste more better than the photo!

I like to play games since I was young. I owned a lot of home game consoles including Atali, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Sega and etc.  I am attached to gaming world since I am young, most likely since age of 5. The first arcade game really kicks me in, isn't the mighty Donkey Kong. The game which got me addicted to it is Street Fighters II. It is a 2D fighting game by Capcom. It is still clear in my mind how I used to play this game and pwned a lot of people who is elder than me. More-over, it gives me more fun than I can enjoy! onr

Street Fighters II tells me that Indian's yoga (Dhalsim) can blow fire out from their mouth... LoL. Sound incredible but it is so funny to see that! hahaha

Ah! A very notable image to the world. After playing this game, every one thinks the girls in China must have two "bao" or Chun Li hair-style. They must have huge legs and able to do the I-M-possible skill which is "upside down spinning legs".  Can you see how that E.Honda (Sumo fatty) hug Chun Li? Incredible skill by the Japanese! Heads down!

Wow! See Blanka!! It can bites you until the blood splitting out like a waterfall! Haha!! Lastly, my favorite character, Ryu, the very attractive skill "rising dragon fist". Amazingly strong and stylish! Guile, Ken and Zangief who I did not manage to a screen-shot...

Why I blog about this? It is because I missed the good old days... So I go to get an emulator to play it again! It works!! It helps me to turn myself back to a TEEN for 10 minutes after playing it!! LoL. e

I hopes you have a nice and unforgettable childhood. If not... please go get a life now. xd

Happy gaming!!

Friday, August 10, 2007

Now, 3:25AM, 11-August-2007. I don't want to sleep because I must write this down while my memory still fresh on what happened 30 minutes ago.

After a mamak session with friends, I took the usual route to go home. I decided to take a short-cut as I usually do to skip all the annoying traffic lights. I bended into a road inside the small-medium factory area. The road is dark because of huge trees and broken street lights. At the end of the road, I saw a group of people standing over there and a few cars parking at roadside.

As I drive closer, I notice it is a group of hardworking policemen. They never set up the road block barrier, wearing jackets with Police Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) logo only. Of course with the fully-charge torch light too. I reached in front of the group and here start the action.

Police Officer A (Malay, Name Unknown) approaches towards me and flash his torch light on my face. At the same time, a few others "torch light" flashing around my car, my road-tax sticker and look inside my car. My first reflex in my mind, I speak this to myself "Hey, I am only ONE people!" . It is fine because my car has nothing illegal! After the silly flashing act, Police Officer A asks me to lower down my mirror. He wants to speak with me. As a good citizen, I always be as cooperative as I can, but I do stay alert. I checked my door switches are locked before I lower down my mirror.

Police Officer A: IC  mari. (Identity Card comes)
Me: Ya tapi apa hal? (Yes but what the matters?)
Police Officer A: Kami nak check IC awak. (We need to check your IC.)
Me: I tahu tapi apa yang sedang berlaku? (I know but what is going on?)
Police Officer A: Ada operasi. (Got operation)
Me: Ya, operasi apa? (Yes, what operation?) [Not to deny, I am very curious on what's going on because they need my Identity card so I have to be sure what kind of operation that they are running]
Police Officer A: [Raise his voice, unhappy feeling] Dengar, OCJ, Operasi Cegah Jenayah (Listen, OCJ, Operation Deter/Prevent Crime)
Me: Ah. Ok. (Ah. Okay. I can show my  Identity card but cannot give it to you) [Sue me for being a paranoid person, I am educated to be highly alert. Nobody get my Identity card unless I am in the police station!]
Police Officer A: [Raise to a louder tune] Turun kerata sekarang! (Get down from car now!)
Me: [Frighten and shout] Saya tak akan turun sehingga saya sampai balai polis! (I won't get down until I reach the police station!)

At this point of time, Police Officer A hands down to my car-door's switch, pull it up! He attempted to open my door!I am getting very scare and frightening because a few people are circle in front of my car. I shouted with my very best for the rest of the conversation just to catch other's people attention!! (I could not keep using my limited command of Malay language due to the situation, so I start to speak in English...)

Me: Hey! Stop it! What I did wrong?!
Police Officer A: Buka pintu dan turun kereta! (Open the door and get down from car!)
Me: I will only get down when I am inside police station! You are not suppose to force me now!!
Police Officer A: Saya boleh tangkap awak jika awak tak kerjasama! (I can arrest you if you are not cooperative!)
Me: I say again! I will leave my car once I reach police station and I am going there now!
Police Officer A: Boleh pergi tapi turun kereta dulu! (Can go but get down from car first!) [You idiot! If I am going to police station, why I still have to get down now?]
Me: No! I don't trust you at all. All of you wearing jackets only! Where is the uniform?!

Police Officer A is extremely unhappy. Now, another officer who looks more senior approaches us. The senior officer name Nathan. Nathan asked Police Officer A to leave. We start our conversation here.

Nathan: Hello uncle! Good morning! [Well, this folk speaks English. But... hey! I am uncle?!]
Me: Good morning Sir. How may I help you?
Nathan: We are running an operation here and we would like to seek your kind cooperation.
Me: Yes. I am trying to be cooperative but your colleague (Police Officer A) pulled up my door switch and attempted to open my car door. I am scared now! Very scared now!!
Nathan: Uncle, yes, I know about your feeling but we are having a operation to prevent crime. Lately, this area is surrounded by criminals. So we are here to protect you.
Me: Yes? You are protecting me by forcing me out from my car?
Nathan: Nooo! Uncle, let me do some clarifications on why we are doing this. Can you drive your car to the roadside?
Me: No. I am not going to move unless it is heading to the police station.

At this moment, another indian officer, who looks really black, stand besides Nathan and start flashing his torch light right into my face!

Me: [Shout out loud] Stop that! Stop the stupid light!! I hate that! I say stop it!!! [It definitely raise my fear to the max level!]
Nathan: Calm down, calm down. [Ask the indian flash-man go away]
Me: Hey, I don't want to talk now. I want to lodge a report! I am very scare!!
Nathan: No sir, please don't go. I haven't finish. We are doing our job for your good.
Me: Yes. I know but not for me this time. It is enough for me. Can I go?
Nathan: No sir. We have the right to stop you and seek your cooperation.
Me: Yes! Since when I am not cooperative?
Nathan: You need me to show your my ID?
Me: No, no need. I can't recognize anything!! [Textbook never teach how a police ID card looks like!!]

Here, the Police Officer A comes back again.

Police Officer A: We can arrest you just because you refused to follow our instruction!
Me: Yes! Please arrest me! Please arrest me to the nearest police station!! PLEASE!!! [Yes. I purposely shout like a bastard. But who cares? I am alone, they are a group! Shout first die later!!]

Nathan pushes away the Police Officer A and resume our conversation.

Nathan: So, where you are going now?
Me: I want to leave!
Nathan: Yes but please give me your IC. I need to note down your name and IC number!
Me: No. I cannot give you. But I can show you!

Nathan shows a piece of paper written with a lot of names to me.

Nathan: See. This is a list that we get. Every people did the same. Can I have your IC?
Me: Yes. I hold it and show you!
Nathan: [Show very disappointed face] I need to copy your details.
Me: Yes. I allow it but I need to hold my own IC only!!

I hold my Identity card and flash it to Nathan TWICE just like the flash their torch light on me!

Nathan: ...
Me: I am a Malaysian. See my IC!! [It is damn proud to be a Malaysian, not?!]
Nathan: Yes Yes... you may go now.
Me: Thank you!

I reach home safely. I don't feel sleepy. I get khang on MSN and chatted about it. We feel it is a need to go to the police station, to do a verification regarding the roadblock. It is because they really looks suspicious without wearing formal uniform and never setup any barrier to do the operation.

We (khang and me) headed to the Kepong Police Station, explained my incident. After some minutes, it is verified that is really an operation going on but they lodged no report for me...

Please, if you read until this part. I believe you care about what is happening. Please do your best to tell your family, friend or anybody you know. Never get down from your car, never give your IC to anyone, never take any challenge from stranger (like the policemen above). It is a clear show on my incident. They cannot charge or arrest you because you are shouting or refused to get down from car!  I did my best to verify this issue at the nearest police station. I am a good citizen. I hopes you do the same if you encounters thing like this.

Last but not least, PDRM deserve a credit for working hard to prevent crimes!

But I give them a big thumbs down for being so rude and aggressive to the innocent!! Booooo!!!!!

Today, a friend send a MSN message to me, ask about how to translate Chinese to English.

Without any delay, my "reflex" comes! Fire up my web browse, key in translate.google.com into the address bar! I am expecting a 404 error or Page Not Found response but... ...

Viola! It loads the Google Translate BETA! I am so happy that Google always knows what I needs and prepare it before I scream for it! It is really my best friend! Never fail me!! LoL.

Immediately, I test it with a simple sentence. Wow! See?! It is so accurate and it never lie! It translate the Chinese sentence to English sentence correctly! The translation never mess up the meaning of the sentence. Good job, Google! After that, I try with other sentences. As a result, for short and simple sentence, it can translate nicely. For longer or complex sentence, it can't really perform as good as expected. But it is good enough to do simple translation job! It is online! No need to install anything!! The most important is FREE of charge!!! Can you complaint?

It supports 25 types of translations! You can help Google Translate to improve the future release by "Suggest a better translation"! You can be part of the team too! :-) Sounds great?

Last but not least, you can translate a web page with this tool!

Yes! For all readers who don't know how to read Chinese! You can use this tool to translate my Chinese blog-post into English! From now onwards, you will never miss any of my post! xd

Happy Translating!!

Time goes fast. It is August already...

First thing to share with you is the site statistic. Wow! I got 849 visits / month, compare to the past, it is really a growth! More-over, I got better search engine hits too. Of course, without your loyal visits, I could not make it this far. I expect the visitor number will keep growing. Perhaps up to 2000 visits / month before this year end. Haha. Perhaps it is sounds like a joke but I hope that will happen!

Thank you very much for your loyal support!

Yeah! After giving you a flash on the site stats. I have another great news to announce.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008! Yes! It is correct. Today we are going to install the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Beta 3! This is not an official release of the final retail version. So, some of my content may not be accurate if you compare with the retail version.

Quoted from here. Of course, you can expect some "unexpected" delay on the launch date or the product arrival date... but that's another story :-)

Just announced at the Worldwide Partner Conference, Windows Server 2008 will be launched jointly with Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 on Feb. 27, 2008, in Los Angeles. As the most important enterprise launch in company history, this will kick off a "launch wave" of hundreds of worldwide events hosted by Microsoft. Read more.

Things that you need to do the installation is a computer at least with Pentium 4 HT or Dual Core, 1GB RAM, 10 GB hard disk space (inclusive 5GB system used). Most important, the product key! Once you get all things in your hand. Insert the installation DVD into your optical drive and boot the computer from it.  You will see the screen as captured below. Select your preferred language, currency and keyboard layout and start the installation.

After you key in your product key, you will have 2 installation options which is full installation or choose to install the core component only. If you are unsure about this, just click the full installation and click next.

The rest of the installation process is pretty easy. Accept the licensing terms, click Next for a few times. The installation will run all the way to the end. It took me around 35 minutes to get into the desktop screen(installation on virtual pc). Nothing challenging. No difficult term for you to guess. No more boring blue-screen installation. Never ask you to enter any information except product key. No pre-settings needed. NTFS will be the default file system. Indeed, it is a very user friendly installation. Microsoft did a good job on this! The system engineers now will have more time for online games system compatibility testing!

I like this installation, it is easier compare to previous windows server version. Even compare with Windows Vista, for this server you do not need to do any diskpart or any command line to get the hard disk formatted. Aha! It is so simple to install Microsoft Windows Server 2008. Even my 5 years old little brother who know how to type and click can install it!

Next post, I will show you something beyond the desktop screen :) Stay tuned.

Happy Installation!!

The next step to do after the installation of Microsoft Windows Server 2008. You need to reset the Administrator account password. Here, I spotted something new! You can create a password reset disk! Dude, this is so nice! From now on, we do not need to download 3rd party tools to reset the administrator passwords which is set by our managers! Yes! Password cracking is easier! Thanks Microsoft! LoL. Do not abuse the tools. Use it in a good way, please. Ok?

After you change the password, you shall reach to the desktop. Nothing fancy, the background color is ugly. I don't like it. Who the hell pick this default color?!

The first thing I do is... Select a wall paper, to replace the default blue color background. It looks a lot more better now, right?

I checked with the Server Manager window, I found a lot of things to configure. Well, basically nothing to highlight for normal user, more toy for the system engineers only.

The start menu is inherited from Windows Vista. It is clean and simple. Ah! Not to forget, the beloved Shut-Down Event Tracker is still exist...

I don't know why I needed to fill up the reason when I want to shut down my server. It is totally P.O.S. (Piece of Shit!) . Although it can be turned off manually but I dislike Microsoft enable it by default. It is an annoying tracker... forgive me if you treasure the tracker very much.

Yes. These are the shut down screen and the login screen. It looks pretty boring isn't it? Especially with my 19" LCD, these screen looks extremely plain! They should have something like the DVD menu, some animations or movies display ... Anyway, it is not a big deal. We can stand the boredom. xd

That's it. Nothing fancy. Nothing interesting if you have nothing to do with the server. Basically, it is good because it simplified most of the things. You need to configure it only when you need to do so.

Happy Exploring!!

Last week, Microsoft officially release the latest version of Visual Studio codename "Orcas". It is Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition Beta 2.

Visual Studio 2008 delivers on Microsoft’s vision of smart client applications by letting developers quickly create connected applications that deliver the highest quality rich user experiences. This new version lets any size organization create more secure, more manageable, and more reliable applications that take advantage of Windows Vista, 2007 Office System and the Web. By building these new types of applications, organizations will find it easier than ever to capture and analyze information so that they can make effective business decisions.

Yes! I got the DVD image from the Microsoft MSDN downloads site. The installation goes pretty much same as the previous version. It takes around 4.5GB disk space to install it. The first time fire up the Interactive Development Environment (IDE), it will ask you to choose the default environment settings.

Immediately, I spotted a good feature! For new every new project, you can choose which version of .NET framework that you wanted to use! Yes! Finally, they concern about the compatibilities. It really save the efforts of switching .NET Framework version for the sake of new IDE! Previously, in order to enjoy the new version of Visual Studio, you have to "upgrade" your project to the newer .NET Framework! Fortunately, now we have a painless migration(from 2005 to 2008) to new IDE!

With the .NET Framework 3.5, you have more templates(VB.NET and C#.NET) for Office 2007. It is really ease the developer to create seamless office integration application or add-in.

You can check here for the Feature Specifications for Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework 3.5.

A quick run of the new IDE. It is not much different, I got pretty disappointed because I was expecting something like 'ribbon' from Microsoft Office System 2007... Oppsss! Wait a seconds! I found something new on the menu bar. That is a TEST menu over there! Wow! We can do unit testing with the new IDE! That's cool!

The last thing I found before I turn off my virtual machine is the LINQ object appears in the Web Project control/object toolbar! Yeah! That's good! More toys for the developers!

Since it is a beta release, I do not want to use it for the actual development. Furthermore the .NET Framework 3.5 is a beta version too. It is always risky to use beta version software. Basically, if you are staying in front of the technology field, you should consider to be an early adopter of the newest version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (code name Orcas).

Happy Programming!!

First of all, I am not a fan of Harry Porter. I never really complete any episode of Harry Porter either novel or movie... Very important point for me to refuse reading novel! Simply because I don't kill trees for the sake of entertainment or knowledge. Please save a tree a day, ok?

So what raise my interests to blog about this very latest and last release of Harry Porter and the Deadly Hallows?

I can't stand someone fooling the public and I can't let them get away by saying nonsense to my beloved Malaysian consumers, although I am selling or buying nothing at the moment...

Harry Porter and the Deadly Hallows retail price for Malaysia bookstores is RM 109.90. Well, what the hell? Is that expensive to get a novel for my kids?

After the official release, Carrefour and Tesco Malaysia have came out a very attractive pricing! RM 69.90 per novel! Yes! Almost 50% slash! With RM 109.90, you can almost afford to buy 1 for reading and 1 for collection in Carrefour and Tesco Malaysia!

The war started by the most childish actions of 4 major chain Bookstores in Malaysia. I don't want to name them because they don't deserve a name here. These bookstores boycott Carrefour and Tesco by stop selling the novel and canceling all the events for this last and memorable release of Harry Porter. You can see it clearly, the consumers, fans, or the loyal readers did nothing wrong! Why these 4 giant bookstores want to spoil their excitement or the happiness of having an event with other Harry Porter's fans? I simply don't understand why these bookstores wanted to do these against their customers who actually feed them for life.

On 23rd July 2007, this son of the god, Malaysia Bookseller Association president Cheah Thye Wee, come from no where and says he will supports these bookstores in their decision. Yeah! Malaysian really needs this kind of bright minded species. Sorry. I can't categorized him as a human because it will definitely drop my level of intelligent to the ground if I do so... I don't see his action will do any good to the bookstores, readers, publisher or the author... Support them for not selling the novel, you are indirectly asking them to cut-off their most profitable best-seller for year 2007 or perhaps 2008 too. This may lead to a great decrease in sales, at the end, no profit, no bonus and no increment for the employees! Who to blame? Yes. Blame this kind of species, ok?

As I always emphasize, killing the others does not prove you are any better than them. Do you get me? Boycott the hypermarket in this way is simply a waste of resources. In the other way, by getting this up to the newspaper, you helped the hypermarket to promote competitive price offers!

On 24th July 2007, today, 4 major bookstores and a Singapore Penguin has reached to an agreement to resume the sales of the novel. Oh Yeah! Childish boycott last only a day. It really fast and effective! I salute to you!! I admires your decision making skill more than I love sexy chicks!!!

The Singapore Penguin also confirmed that  selling the novel at the price RM 69.90 is at a loss. Now we see what I can quote from the TheStar Online newspaper.

Earlier, Penguin managing director Eddy Teo urged the hypermarkets to practise good business sense and fair trade.

“The public must understand that bookstores don’t make much profit because their source of income is only books while the range is diversified for hypermarkets,” he said.

He said bookstores had to worry about hypermarkets and other parties who did not have to provide a range of book titles but had the resources to price key titles very low and use them as “loss leaders” (items sold at a loss in order to attract customers).

He confirmed that books sold at RM69.90 were being sold at a loss.

First, he emphasized good business sense and fair trade but never clearly express the definitions of those. So it is a smelly rubbish sentence!

The rest of the sentences, we will need to do a little maths to justify it better. Let's pray I still remember on how to use a calculator...

I quickly browse into the world most well-known bookseller website, namely Amazon.com . Search for Harry Porter and The Deadly Hallows. Viola! I got a result and price at USD$17.99. Ok... make it USD$18.00 (USD$0.01 for the tips). Now, we need a currency converter!  Okay! Can you see it? USD$18.00 = RM 61.2232 or we round it up to RM 61.30.

If Amazon.com is making profit with that price, I could not see any points that Carrefour and Tesco Malaysia selling it at RM 69.90 is at a loss. Now, you tell me who is the loser need to get lost and go back to Singapore for fuck sake.

Time to get real, my dearest booksellers. Although, I already banned you for life but herewith my 2 cents.

Market is based on the demand and supply. When a great supply and great demand exists in the market but nobody run into your shops, then it must be your problem. That is your damn fucking own problem!! Yes! I am the meanie! You are running a business and could not be as competitive as the others, who to be blamed? I would advice you to fire your Sales and Marketing Manager, let's double up the pay and hire someone who knows how to do business like those hypermarkets! Ok?

Stop threatening the readers, the consumers or your competitors. We are not idiots. Please do not make yourself looks like an idiot or get some idiotic species to stand by your side. It actually looks a lot more awful by doing so.

My last words to my dearest reader. Please make your wise purchase, you purchase from whoever got a valid license/permit, the author and the publisher will still get the same amount of profit. So, buying a cheaper but original novel does not show you are not a loyal fans! It helps to grow the economy if you can make your purchase wisely.

Happy Reading!

Monday, July 23, 2007

Let's not start this post with the story of "who don't have a god damn fucking financial crisis a.k.a. GDFFC" . That is totally P.O.S. (piece of shit) to say because we are known as the species of people in the category of "always money not enough".

I believe that I am quite well-known among my friends (real-life or Internet) for being a hardcore consumers! I am very serious when it comes to money spending. For every cent I paid, I must get the equivalent service or product. I never worry about how troublesome to get what I deserved!

Yes. Today's topic is very interesting and you are definitely going to be the one of the beneficiary!

Let's introduce the main actor, Kok mING and TM Net Streamyx a.k.a. Strea-My-X (stream my ass) or SlowyAss (who the hell invented this?). Yeah, today I invited another strong cast for your enjoyment. Let's welcome David for his contributions later in this post!

Please allow me to clarify why I must claim my rebates from TM Net StreamyX. Can you believe that for 1.5 years subscription, I got 274 days downtime as TM Net StreamyX recorded it officially in their system? A flashback if you want to read!

First option to claim your rebates is via telephone calls. You must have all your report numbers with you! If you do not remember it, please spend 30 minutes with them by dailing 100 from your TM Fixed Line Phone. You can get all the report numbers  belongs to your account from the Technical Department. Remember, it is Technical Department, don't go to the Billing Department because they won't tell you although they can see it on-screen. Instead of telling you the report numbers, they ask you to call the Technical Department. So, to save your time, ensure you get the right thing from the right place!

I got mine as the table below.

Report Number Aging Period (Days)
5772402 2
5025262 40
4920767 3
3278439 29
3112244 12
1513937 84
1281556 24
1128813 15
1099629 4
1063439 8
662094 9
607825 31
552463 7
498248 6

After a lengthy session with the sexiest call center in Malaysia, I finally connected to the Billing Department. I explain my lengthy piece of old story again because they always love to listen to my voice... What to do?! That's the charm of Kok mING. LoL. Ok... actually they are just being a douchebag! They are buying themselves some times for listening your story again. So they can generate more profits to the TM Telephony service. At the mean while, they can think a reason to kick you away too! What a nice "One stone kills Two birds" tactic!

Anyway, I am the master of the Art-Of-War tactics. My philosophy is "No win No leave", so as my urge to claim the rebate to secure a "win", I manage to get them to open a report stated that I want to get the rebates for all the cases above! So, I got THE_ONE rebate report with the number 5971665, and I have to call back to them after 2-3 weeks because they have to "investigate". Well, I don't mind to call as long as I got the report now! Most often, they won't open any report for you but to suggest you to write an email to the custcare@tm.net.my regarding your rebate issue. Never fall into this trick! They never check this custcare@tm.net.my mailbox! Save your bandwidth for more hate-mails, ok?

That's the first option. Slow and NOT_SO_EFFECTIVE_&_EFFICIENT method... Never do this until you can't afford to apply the following (2nd) option!

Second option is go to the TM Point! The place where you pay your bills! Go there, grab a free number ticket from the "canggih" machine, sit down, wait for your turn(perhaps 1-2 hours doing nothing). During your waiting period, pray for no system_down message on top of their desk!

Once you manage to sit in front of one representative of TM Point. You tell them about your case(s) and express you need a rebates else you will burn down the whole TM Point with your little fire_stick! If they are cooperative enough, they will open a report for you instantly. You can go home after they give you a slip that indicates they lodged a report. Not to surprise, at the same day, they will send an email notification for your report too.

Within 2 weeks, David manage to get the rebate confirmation! How fast!! I recommend this way if you have the time to travel to your nearest TM Point. Refer to the screen-shots below! Credits to David

The third option, this could be your last resort. If you unable to get any response. You can write in / complaint to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) . Sometimes ago, I heard someone reported his cases with TM Net to this government commission. He got the rebates at the next day! I tried to follow the procedures on MCMC web site but I did not manage to get any response from MCMC or TM Net SteamyX, perhaps my bad English or I am a chinese who supposed to be so rich and never need a rebate!

Here is the end of story! I will updates your about my case later!

Happy Rebates Claiming!!

Last week. As my urge to gain up-to-date knowledge. I went to attend a course at Info-Trek ...

The course name MCSA 2003 (Microsoft Certified System Administrator 2003). I am a MCSE 2000 holder... well. On top of that, I am a MCDBA 2000 too.

MCSA course is some what a beginner course for MCSE ... Haha... I consider to take the course because I think it might be better for me to go outside rather than doing nothing at home... Furthermore, I needs not to pay a single cent except my transportation and food.

First day of the course... very long hours... schedule from 9am to 9pm... Wahhhh ok... 12 hours. Something interesting. I never whine for long hours. We started the class... well... Obviously, the instructor is dragging the time... Class started 9:30am for 1 hour then break 30 minutes... resume for another 1 hour... then lunch break for 2 hours. Wuahahaha... I don't know what I am suppose to do... really time wasting... and hi-tea break 30 minutes... dinner break 2.5 hours... well... if you add up everything. It is actually 9am-5pm enough for everything... :(

Anyway, forget about the course :) because I quit at the 2nd day... Sorry lah... The MCSA material is really too beginner for me... I am sorry :( I admit that I am lazy now.

I met quite a lot of new friends. They are fresh graduates... yes. Fresh graduates... They flash back my memory... 6 years ago! (ohhh after a long story telling... finally I manage to TOUCH the title). I see myself.

They are a bunch of nice guys and girls... All graduated from UTAR... unemployed and eagerly for a job. None notice I am already 28 years old hahaha. Funny enough. Well. After some chats with them. I see my past. I just looks like one of them. Eager for job. Worry about jobless after graduate. Scared of not competitive enough compare to other college/university graduates. Whines for money not enough. And so on so forth. Haha.

Since I gone through these stages... I share my experience with them by saying something like no need to rush for a job because it is a LONG life for job ... and spend some times for travel in order to see the world... haha. All my advises sound familiar because exactly 6 years ago, someone elder than me used to tell me that... and now the situation changed to be I am the elder one...

Anyway, nothing much for the course itself but it do kill some of my time and I get the opportunity to mix with youngster once more time ahaha. You have to know... not always that you will be surrounded by a group of youngster! :)

Miscellaneous updates from Kok mING

1. Job Hunting
Ehhhhh. I applied quite a number of jobs. But none reply... so... I think I have to wait for my chance. I did what I can. Perhaps it is time for me to do something which you think I must do. I am open for suggestions. Please leave your comment.

2. My life
Hm. It is still ok. I am doing good. Even though I am unemployed but I really do not feel that I am wasting my time/life as you guys imagine. Every day is a new day for me. Previously, my job is so busy or take up so much time of mine. It made me no time to look backwards or around me. Now I got the time to do so. I realize that it is a lot of things that I have missed out during these years... for example that my dad is really putting HARD effort to earn the living for the family during these years... My mom is really doing housework and cooking whole day... My house can be silence as heaven during noon time... My nieghbour has nice cars..

Well. A boring post. Because I have to write something to let you know that I am still alive :P

Currently I am working on the new application - DatukGong ahaha. Well. I talk about it more on my next post :)
